Originally we had sought to make a rigid turn-based business simulator that focused on the adult industry.  We were going to include everything you'd expect from any other tycoon game but with the ability to be bought out (and continue playing as an employee), IPO, sell-out and start again.  We were going to have procedurally generated performers and personalities with custom product development complete with video formats from VHS to VR and beyond.

But then we added goblins, clowns, guns, LSD-laced soda, aliens, meteors...mutated cats.  And damn was that more fun.  We went real-time, we let the player get some fresh air, we added a city, more areas, more interaction.  So far the result is that things don't exactly look as they seem on the surface. Welcome to...

Pleasant Park is home not to a memorial but a monolith that the city was, in fact, built around. And it gleams ominously with light and stars on clear nights. Though no good mystery goes spoiled so soon.  Enjoy the nightlife.

We've been here before.  A while ago, around the time when we first started in 2014.  But we were here in the first place because we support Zach and Tarn.  And actually, they have a pretty dangerous influence on our programmer.  Like, performers get drunk and fall off set (literally).  And call you from purgatory via payphone for a plane ticket back home, or for a rope if you're cheap. Long fingernails are a performer trait, a long tongue is considered macroglossia.  We have a lot of fun.  But not a lot of money.

If you want it go get it.  If you fail, the streets will catch you. Begin again.  There is no such thing as losing or winning as it is your choice whether or not a career in voyeur clown porn is right for you.  Or if you'd prefer the limelight lit with dazzling, smiling studs and starlets.

February Update

It's been a long completely unsexy journey for us.  Although hopefully it will be the complete opposite for you all.  Also, if you backed us previously you will finally be getting those damn keys! They've been burning a hole in my hard drive.  Apparently there will be multiplayer as well although not at launch.  Backers will indefinitely receive all future expansions free of charge.

We plan to continue patching and releasing builds until we're confident that the vertical-slice is a true representation of the final product.  Until then, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns!

Whoa, I remember seeing this before and finding the premise amusing, but not expecting much from the game itself judging by what I saw.
Now it looks pretty damn great! I shall have a look at the Steam page and get more of an idea of it. Looks like it has a fair bit of scope.   

Edit: Oh, I dig the idea of multiple eras. I hope the '70s era has adequate moustache mechanics.

It’s been a while!  Most of you who are new to the blogs might not even have realized this is supposed to be a monthly thing.

It was, until shit got real.

According to the Internet we’re less than a month away from release.  Now if you’re anything like us you’re either like “damn! Really?” or sweating which, if the latter, would only mean you’re as excited as we are.
