Quickly dropping in to say that I love this.

Also California couldn't make it on its own. The military wouldn't even need to get involved; all the government would have to do is shut down our water sources and we'd be begging to be let back in within a year at most.
Now, if several Western states all decided to break away at once...

Well, see, California is the only state that is nearly as far left as itself.  Oregon and Washington both lean left, but also have large swaths populated by more right-wing elements.  Nevada might consider leaving, but they get all their water from upstream.  Upstream from Nevada is Utah, who would gladly dam the Colorado river and use it to turn their desert-wasteland into green gorgeousness at the expense of Nevada and California.  In fact, Utah recently started building a pipeline just so they could ship water from the Colorado somewhere else so people downstream wouldn't think they weren't using it.

Only vaguely. Made of the same substance and put to the same use, but a bit like comparing a castle and a doublewide trailer.

People seem to be acting like this is California vs the country, etc, but it's not as if the state is even close to considering leaving in all actuality

No, probably not. It's just the panic train talking, like how everyone is planning to move to other countries. Give it a few months and 99.99% of them will still be here.

I'm disgusted that not a goddamn one of us suggested CalifragilisticexitcuzTrump'sAtrocious.
Wow, that is amazing. That could become a meme, I reckon.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm posting because hypothetical scenarios are fun to think about, no matter the likelihood they have.

Considering the amount of people saying that it is impossible to for California to leave the United States, I think mentally adding a comma just before California in the song 'Hotel California' could get you something somewhat fitting.

Californian accents are unbearable

I want this to be a serious thing just so I can start using the word "Califrexit" regularly.
I want people to stop gluing "exit" and "gate" to the end of things
#exitgate

I never liked the "exit" suffix, I mean it's inevitable you have to use them because #thesearethings and it has to be marketable with as few words as possible, but it really is saddening that "Country" "Exit" is too much effort for people to bear D:

Californians have an accent?  ???

I guess it makes sense that we would, but I've been all over the country and no one's been able to identify me just from my voice.
