My understanding is that fortress temples have been used for cursing, although I've had no inclination to try it myself.

If the OP wants to keep trying with the current fortress, I'd recommend trying to accept petitions from creatures from other cultures. That ought to increase the range of deities you can dedicate temples to (and the best would probably be to accept a petition from someone who is the primary cursee of the desired curse type).

A quick question, do I have to make templates for every god? Do the dorfs(or their gods) care if they share temple with others?

It works just fine if the temple is set to no specific deity.

THE SCIENCE.

WILL CONTINUE.

Gonna try varying gods and specific designations as well as statues made to look like them. In case value is in any way related they will be made of solid gold.

One science experiment that I'm pondering on, can even use dfhack 43.03 probably.

Pick a dwarf with a chosen deity for your test subject.  Probably someone who will will most likely go raving mad / tantrum.

Put that dwarf in a room and lock him with a statue, and a zone temple for that deity.

Use dfhack to invoke a mood on that dwarf, while trapped in a room until insanity.

Observe if said dwarf topples the statue and if a deity curses him.

Then save scum to see any difference or randomness in effect.

Save scum to see if statue detail matter if temple is changed to other deity, or general deity.

Might want to wall him in, he may choose the door first.

Let me tell you that if any of this works I have mass production in mind.

If I have anything to say about it the last captured raiding party of goblins will all be werebeasts by tomorrow. We will know if there is any variance by god.

Subject: A dwarf that goes into a mood is trapped inside a controlled-walled room.
Variables: dwarf's traits, dwarf's deity.
Tools: dfhack showmood.

Scenario 1: Room has statue to assigned to a temple location.
Variables: statue quality and details; temple deity relation to subject.
Tools: save scum

Question:  If a dwarf that goes insane due to the inability to create from a mood, who then topples a statue in a temple that is cursed into a were-beast, will the were-beast curse heal insanity?

I've noticed something interesting.

Most of the gods of this fort have little description. Just a general idea of spheres and their usual appearance.

Dan however, the rotting goddess of pregnancy, children, birth, death and rebirth (...?) has an extremely active history attached. This includes assisting demons in entering the world. With this proof that this is in fact an actual deity, I shall proceed with statues of Dan.

Werebeast transformation does not heals insanity. I can confirm this. I don't have the fort anymore, but I had a werebeast infect a dwarf and kill his wife. I didn't bury his wife, so he was constantly haunted by her and had a macabre mood.

That's fine.

The problem I'm going to have is that I need this to happen to captives. I can't mustn't should not mass produce werecreatures out of my own population because I need people around to do things like massive temples to Tobnom and such.

Maybe do the same thing Sanctume suggested
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
but instead use traders in the rooms. You could do without DF hack that way, would just have to find a way to get the traders into the rooms...

Collapsing trade depot.

Depot installed on constructed brick floor, attached to horizontal support. Room below has no exit, and no ramps.

They start trade, pull lever. They all fall in, trade instantly cancelled by destruction of depot, merchants cannot leave.

Madness inevitable.

Wait for it, then direct them into the special statue garden.
