im making a new mod and need help/ideas

So ive been screwing around with raws and decided i wanted to make a couple of new civs. I say couple ive all ready started on two but im having a little trouble with some ideas that i want to try and make so ive decided to start this topic.
My first race is a variant of the antmen im trying to make it so they are similar to kobolds with the exception of digging and the lack of metal working, i then want to make a variant that is spawned via workshop as a quasi slave race. Only hauling and wood cutting or something along those lines. Example would be antman moves stone to stockpile or workshop of creation.
Next i want to make Bullywugs,[ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bullywug ] which is also a primitive civ but has a magic system like shamanism. So any help his helpful any ideas/advise is aperciated now i need to get back to making the damn antmen spawn in game.

It would be helpful if you would copy and paste your raws here so we can see them. Also, that antman idea will be complicated.

looking back after post i realised that i went over my attempted at buying them so do those tags PETS_EXOTIC effect them so they dont spawn?

If you want them to be sentient like kobolds, they shouldn't have any pet tags at all. It results in strange behavior from the AI.

also is there a list of venoms? so i could have different castes? like hunter has a paralysis effect etc.

There isn't a list, exactly, venoms inflict the syndrome associated with it. You can look at existing venomous creatures to see how it works. I can probably help you better tomorrow.

You're welcome. I'm rigging up a working version of your bugpeople pretty quickly. Are they meant to be playable in fortress mode, or just act like kobolds? If we make them playable, it would be better to base them on dwarves. Kobolds just steal from you, and need to be reworked to function as a real civ. Is it essential that they not have any metal weapons? Flint/Stone Age stuff doesn't exist in the current version. They could use wooden weapons like elves though.

Also, something like bullywugs is already in the game. We could still make them into more of a civ though.

As for the bullywug magic and the workshop antmen slaves, those would be the most difficult parts of the mod. I'm not sure how to make people at a workshop, but we could probably figure it out. For bullywug shamans, we could maybe involve DFhack. What I'd do though is make a "shaman" caste that has a bunch of magiclike interactions.

*Here are your working Mymidons. You could just play with these, or use them as a starting point for something else. No poison yet, but that could be added. They are playable in Adventure Mode, but not Fortress.

and i was thinking just some primitive civs to add to the flavor dwarf fortress, since it seems the caverns hold a majority of them, or at least with the exception of the random groups above ground chilling out
