Shotgun, shotgun, shotgun.

fire my second set of dragons breath at the vamp

Take cover and get ready to shoot anyone who comes from behind.

Sally takes cover and faces backwards. But there's no cover on the catwalk where she's at, so she just faces backwards.

Joe tries to pump as many shotgun rounds as possible into the vampire. He has a Dex+Firearms of 5 dice in total. Each cycling of the chamber takes an additional action. His first shot will be 5-3 dice. And his second shot will be 5-3-2 dice, but we'll round it up to 1 and give it an increased difficulty. He scores 2 and 1 successes, both shots are on target.

Sean fires another dragonbreath round at the vampire.

The vampire has to either make multiple rolls to dodge against 3 attacks, or take cover in an office cubicle, which will probably break against multiple shotgun rounds. The vampire has 13 dice to dodge with... but spends blood to add another 2 more for 15 dice. It will try to dodge 3 attacks, grab Joe, and bite him - for 7, 6, 5 dice for dodging at difficulty 8 for the regular slugs and 10 for the dragonbreath, then it has to step towards Joe, costing another action, then it grabs Joe for 3 dice, resisted roll. and bites him for 2, also a resisted roll.

The vampire dodges Joe's first shot (1 success)... and the second shot (4 successes), and manages to avoid the dragonbreath shot (2 successes) but it lunges at Joe and... misses.

The Union boys don't fire, they seem to be panicking.

Sean has emptied his double barrelled shotgun.

The Vampire is just about in Joe's face, but hasn't got a grip on him yet. (Maybe he should run away...)

Mirella sneaks through the cages. She keeps lower than them, trying to stay out of sight. She is still searching for allies, but Mirella has no knowledge of what Trump and Janeway look like. If she feels she can help someone escape, she will discreetly pick the lock to the cage and let them out, but she is having problems finding anyone who is in fighting condition. Emaciated and diseased human beings is all she sees. She is honestly about to give up by the time she reaches the back. She could just sneak out the back door.

edit: the vampire should be on fire from getting clipped by a dragonsbreath round against its cover. it's taking aggravated damage over time unless it manages to stop, drop and roll...

Draw knife, stab vampire.

((Glorious death, here I come.))

Continue watching the entrance. Shoot anyone I don't recognize.

Joe draws his knife and stabs the vampire in the heart, the knife rips through and shreds the vampire's leather jack, and it shreds the vampire's concealed kevlar armor... and finds undead flesh...

and becomes trapped in the Vampire's thick sinewy pectorals.

The Vampire picks Joe up and throws him at Sally. Joe struggles futilely. He goes sailing across the catwalk and lands in a heap on top of Sally, bowling down the rest of the union boys trying to get a shot. Joe takes 2 bashing damage from the fall, which was cushioned by Sally, who also takes 2 bashing damage.

Continue to shotgun the vamp.

Sean Patrick loads both barrels and fires them both, 2 dice left for the firing. But he rolls criticals. The vampire soaks 9 of the 16 damage, reducing its health to -3. The force of 2 12 gauge slugs slam into its right leg and torso, finally shredding the tough undead flesh and sending the vampire sprawling across the north side of the catwalk.

Mirella sneaks around the cages, everyone is looking sickeningly unhealthy, and would probably slow her down... not to mention, dragging a naked filthy person through the street while trying to escape the security teams.

Two smoke grenades go off in the west entrance to the first floor factory area. 8 Troopers in body armor and submachine guns file in... they look around, and were about to sit this one out to let the vampire do its thing, when they saw it go down to a shotgun blast. They gather at the foot of the west stairs to prepare to storm upwards to the catwalk.

Mirella sneaks over toward the stairs, trying to keep to the shadows. She will place a charge underneath the stairs she knows the security thugs (sadly less tubby and more scary this time) must take and slink back into a corner hopefully unseen, holding close her detonator.
