I will make this clear one more time: scan(currently at least) scans the SHAPE of an object. NOT any complex stuff IE. the stuff that makes you and the smartphone work!

no, you can't! you can download the data on the phone, but without the complex circuitry and radio receivers in the phone, you can't get a connection, and if you tried to disguise yourself as a phone, you would be a phone shaped blob that's silvery all over, including the screen.

If I can connect to download anything, I'm operating it, even if as a root kit. If I can connect to anything, I can conduct electricity, even if from its own USB port. Either way, you apparently decided to run the game on rails, so just do whatever you had planned for/with the cell phone and move on.
