Tiana walks over to Aurora, trying to peer at her paper.
"So Aurora, what'cha doin'?"

[Chevaleresse]

"Um. . . Just making sure I don't forget my classes. I hope they don't all work like finding the hot tub did."

Tiana looks thoughtful.
"Hmm, makes sense. I should probably do something like that."

[UXLZ]

Looking over the class lists, Alex asks Ashley:

"Do we need to do anything in particular to change our slots, or do we just tell you? I'd like to change from Tactics to Hand-to-Hand."

[Chevaleresse]

Aurora finishes her writing after a moment. "I forget, were we in any classes together?"

Tiana thinks for a moment.
"Other than Magic 101? Well, I think we have the combat and supernatural class together. It'll be good to see you there."

[Chevaleresse]

"Oh yeah, we'll get to learn about magical creatures and stuff! I didn't really think magic was a thing until a couple months ago."

[UXLZ]

"Oh yeah, we'll get to learn about magical creatures and stuff! I didn't really think magic was a thing until a couple months ago."

Noticing Aurora's question, Alex feels the need to chime in somewhat playfully.

"A couple months? You lucky thing."

He shakes his head.

"Try a few days. I had to rush like crazy just to make it to the academy in time."

[Chevaleresse]

"Oh wow. What happened? Did you eat something magic too?"

[UXLZ]

Alex was about to give Aurora a strange look, but remembered the true face of the world, and that at this point it wasn't too much of a stretch to guess you could gain some sort of magical ability by eating something already magical.

"No, I seem to have always had the "gift," so to speak, so perhaps the letter arrived late. I didn't even know what my innate ability was until yesterday. A flaming birdman in a blue suit told me. He also told me we'd meet again, come to think of it. I wonder when that'll happen."

Admittedly, he was also still a bit curious about how Aurora had gained her place here, so a question was posed.

"What did you eat, anyway? It wasn't mushrooms, was it?"

Looking over the class lists, Alex asks Ashley:

"I'll note the change."

[Chevaleresse]

"I ate a crow with three legs. They said it was, um. . . Oh, it was a 'yatagarasu,' I finally remembered the word. It came from the sun, or something."

[UXLZ]

"A Yatagarasu, huh..."

Alex was actually decently familiar with them, they were one of his favorite mythological creatures. The link to the sun was definitely true, though there was far more to it than that.

"I wonder how many of its characteristics are shared with the one I am familiar with."

He inwardly shuddered at the revelation that if Yatagarasu were real, what else might be? The possibilities were basically endless. So many awful things...

[Chevaleresse]

"I dunno. It was kinda big, I guess, and it had red eyes that kinda looked like this thing." She taps the gem seemingly implanted in her chest.

Tiana nods at Alex's statement.
"I know, right? I only discovered I could make bubbles like this,
With a snap of her fingers, a bubble appears next to Tiana.
Two weeks or so ago. Like, out of nowhere, you know?"
