Tiana looks surprised by the shouting, and ventures into the corridor.

Kyle silently creeps off to observe the racket.

Aiko had already dragged her suitcase to the room, and is setting up her things on one side. First, stuffing clothes into her dresser- they seem to be a variety of eastern robes mostly, that she places haphazardly, with only one or two sets of "normal" clothes like a skirt or jeans and t-shirt or halter top, which she is rather more careful with. Notably, none of them have tail holes like her current robe seems to. Secondly, after that is done she begins to set up what seems to be a small shrine, complete with incense and art. "I've got some non-scented candles, too, so don't worry about the smell!" she says to Alice as she sets it up.

"Did you wait until you came back in to say that?

...Also, I'm gonna go check that out."

And he does.

Alice, by contrast, is placing things almost primly and perfectly in clear arrangements. It's clear most of her clothing is rather formal or at least quite elegant. She only sets up a small tea set and a few books, some computer manuals and fiction, on the shelves.
"If the smell isn't too overpowering, I suppose I can make do. It's quite alright."
As they approach the sound of the shouting....
"....then maybe we'll make friends, and stand against the cold harsh world with the power of friendship! With the strength of our bonds, and the power of our unity, nothing can surely get in our way!"
"Mhm."

During this wonderful conversation, he stands still in the middle of the hallway like an idiot.

"I see." Vijaya just sort of looks at Anna silently for a moment with a neutral expression. Eventually, they turn as the source of the shouting approaches and offers a wave of a similar quality to their shrugs. They're here to make friends?

Anna shrinks away from Vijaya while they're staring at her, breathing a sigh of relief as they turn to the newcomers.

She waves as well.

Kyle backs away. He sits down in the common room to watch some TV.

Aiko gives a thumbs-up, and finishes setting up the shrine. She proceeds to take several books out of the suitcase- a few in English (or this setting's equivalent), but mostly in the language of her home- and puts them on her own shelf. She proceeds to fall back down on her bed, apparently done for now- and then lets out an involuntary squeak as she falls directly on her tail.

The shouting gets closer and closer, until two students get into view; a tall, black-haired youth with a slightly-toned build and carrying two bags of luggage, positively towering over his shorter, blue-haired female companion, who carried two formal-looking luggage cases.
"Salutations!", the boy announces proudly.

Anna looks at the newcomers.

"Hi?"

Kyle glances at the new people before going back to watching TV.
