For years now I have been looking for a Uber-forum, a forum to rule all the ones that I participate in. I think this just might be it. United by DF this forum does take curious turns, ins and outs, and covers just about everything I may well be interested in.

I mean, sure, you've got bigger communities out there, like 4chan and reddit and Something Awful, but neither of those come anywhere close to replicating this forum's charm (well... if you're using the dark color scheme, that is).

On a serious note, quite possibly partially due to Toady, this is one of the calmer places on the Internet, where disagreements don't get all flamey and uncivil because if they do, Toady knows where you live.

is there anyway to turn on the dark theme all over the forums, I only get it when I talk about dwarf fortress...

As far as the catering, finger sandwiches nothing better for for a circle jerk and how ironically appropriate!
