I'm hoping for slimeblock elevators. I'll see if I can build one.
Nope. I cannot redstone.

If we did, +1, but I think they either got scrambled by the tractor beam or got blown out into space.

Slime elevator sounds impractical, gross, dangerous, and it will probably drain all our resources for ages to accomplish. It's perfect!

Are there any unexpected minecart or boat behaviors that can be used to rise quickly?

Any idea why they disabled pistons?

Pillar-Mounted ASCII dorf face completed. Prolly should've made the mouth and eyes out of granite, to stand out from the brick tower.

We're getting an offer from the New Ireland guy of 1xp bottle for 54 stone brick.  This a good offer in the opinion of people here, and how much should we trade?

Made factory on second floor.  One swift left click with a stick in hand on the crafting table opens up the recipie selection menu, and if you click on the painting to get to the details menu then the crafting table there it shows all the recipies.  Clicking on those will show what is required for the recipies.  The stuff on the rows two rows below input materials tells you what needs to be in the chests to activate the factory and the number of Bottles o' Enchanting in the recipe indicates the amount of those you need to place in the upper part of the furnace.  When the recipe is set up, single left click the furnace and the factory will activate.  You will occasionally need to run the repair function, but that would be only rarely.

Bottles o' Enchanting can be gotten from right clicking a enchanting table when you have xp on you.

Everyone get that?  I now expect that no furnaces are used, because factories are insanely good at producing stuff.  A lot of recipies give you 3x what you would get via regular smelting, and in some cases crafting (ex. One option turns four glowstone and sixteen redstone into 32 redstone lamps).

Edit: I have the supplies for an enchanting table.  I will be waiting on a diamond to reinforce it, though, before I place it down.

Speaking of reinforcing stuff.  Use /ctr with a block of stone, iron, or diamond to reinforce stuff in your name (only you can access in this case, requires breaking block an increasing number of times, depending on material, for others to actually destroy the block), and use /ctr TwelfthBayConfed to reinforce stuff to be only accessible to members of the Twelfth Bay Confederation.

Edit2: If people want to know where I put the valuables storage, contact me in the game and I can show you.

Edit3: And if someone could give me a redstone next time I'm on, I've got the perfect place to drop a Snitch that'll help us track griefers.

To figure out whether this sounds like a good deal, I need to know:

1: What do you need to do to make an XP bottle? How many resources does it cost to make one? I'm guessing a level and an empty bottle?
2: Did you mean 64 instead of 54? Because 54 sounds weirdly specific.

Because it does take some effort to get all that cobble, and fuel to cook it. 54 cooked cobble vs. 1 cooked sand and an xp level doesn't seem like a very even trade. I'd say more like 1 stone block for the bottle itself and maybe 10 blocks per XP level it requires to fill the bottle.

And should we just set up one of those vendor chests so we don't have to make the trade in person? I feel like having a trade depot would be a good idea eventually.

EDIT: After finding out how little XP goes into a bottle, I think they're not more valuable than than 6 per stack of cobble. If the buyer wants to smelt or factory the cobble into stone brick they can do it themselves. If we go 4 XP bottles per stack of cobble we're giving them quite a good deal.

Big stuff being built. We almost have the main deck completed.

Also we now have sheep, cows, and chickens - although we need to bring grass for the sheep pasture and the chickens don't seem to give offspring (and I haven't seen a thrown egg produce a chick yet). The new wheat farm should provide ample supplies for the brewery if we can find a blaze rod! D:

Almost tempted to just find out where the nearest nether biome is, and have us simply organize a enmass raid to kill blazes til we get a rod, then bugger out with it.

Unfortunately new changes to the way brewing works requires a steady supply of blaze powder. The stand uses it as fuel, though it seems not all drinks require you to use it.

Nether biomes? There's one in the country of Novo Blyat, and one huge one west of Persepolis, capitol of Persia. Look at this map!

It appears someone nabbed about 15 stacks of (clay) brick blocks, all the cooked meat / bread / wheat, the wood, a bunch of other stuff. Didn't replant the wheat either. Did it just get relocated?

EDIT: Pretty sure someone came through and looted us. We were bad about not locking our chests though. So I understand the Citadel breakage-prevention, but how do you lock a chest so people can't just walk up and loot it?

EDIT2: The shithead killed all our cows for no reason other that to deprive us of them, because he left the sheep and chickens and certainly was in no shortage of food by that point. WTF ever. Am I supposed to Citadel a cow now? I'm not spending another half hour luring another pair. Luckily, the funky factory mod makes hides useless because you don't need them to make books.

I should have expected griefing, but w/e. Maybe I should just wander around pillaging senselessly too.
