Have any of you experienced it personally? My political post just disappeared.

The Toad erases posts considered inflammatory or sometimes in the middle of a lot of inflammatory posts.

It's not Toady doing it. Does this forum have a "block all posts to x thread for x amount of time" option?

As far as I am aware the only post control tools SMF has are moderator tools and thread locking. Are you sure it wasn't a software glitch or a connection drop? Happens to me every once in a while.

... technically, they haven't, because they can't. The only one able to delete posts is toady :V Or maybe threetoe or the unseen one, I'unno.

Folks have edited their posts to be empty, though, sure, or asked boss toad to delete 'em.

The only time I've had posts of mine disappear is when I either asked for it to be deleted or it got caught in the middle of a bunch of inflammatory posts that Toady One deleted.

'The unseen one'?
K... something or other. Kurtlemak? Definitely a misspelling, but somewhere along those lines.

I am not sure. It may be pattern-recognition, but it is weird that it happened to my political posts. This isn't the first time it happened.

I think he's asking if anyone ever deleted an entire post in self-moderation.
Nope. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prior_restraint

Ah.

My money's on the posts were deleted when deleting an argument; yours just got caught up in the mess.

Yeah, unless it's one or two posts, he generally just deletes a chunk and tends not to surgically excise the offending posts.

Kurtulmak exists.

But, yeah, Toady generally says (moderated) if he wipes something IIRC?

Unless he's mass-deleting.
