On second thought, perhaps a few hostile NPCs could provide impetus for investigation. Though anyone participating in this thread would now know that any NPCs wouldn't be the true villain.

If you'd want to, sure :3 But it seems like a vanilla Mafia game with Jojo-themed stuff in it, which can modify the roles in play. Although if this is a Mafia, it'll follow something like NQT's Unconventional Mafia Funtime, but I can't talk about that since it's still running
Also this has 1 Antagonist compared to the vanilla team, so it's like one vs the world, or one nice SK.

Yeah, for balance I'd recommend a few third parties to make the main antagonist's job easier, within reason.

When lax in rules opens up creativity I usually am not myself at all the first to be a stickler.

However when there's clearly some organization efforts going on to put a popular category in one place so that the main thread can get more visibility for the other types of games I think that's a good thing.

Yikes. This is far from ready, I'll need to do some test games and such, but still, I'd prefer to be able to start it at my own convenience. When it happens to come up in a queue might not coincide to when I have an opening in my schedule.

I took a look at the thread, here. Some things to note. For one I think this is just a courtesy thread not something that's enforced by moderators. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't be nice to make some kind of effort which I'll address in a moment what you could possibly do. There's some part about beginner games not going to the que I don't know if yours would qualify so you may have to ask. And that's really what I want to say is you could just tell them that you've got scheduling considerations tell this to the author of this thread and I'm sure he will be glad to work with you.

Either way let me know what happens. So please do move your thread to Mafia.

I'm honestly thinking of using d20 as a basis for this, though with some heavy modifications of course. I think the round-based combat and the challenges system may be up to the task.

Since you moved it into the right area, I really suggest prospective players read up on the latest BeginnersMafia games to freshen themselves up for what's gonna generally happen in forum Mafia.
Also Hugo, if you'd like, I can help arbitrate your work here You can talk about it with Mephansteras if you'd like since he's the board's mod and knows a ton of stuff.

Basically, should anyone (NPC or not, and still not sure about NPCs) wind up in combat, it'll be instanced. Survivors will be able to tell others what happened, but players not directly involved will not be privy to the events, except from second-hand sources.
