What are the best methods for checking for duplicated tags in the raw/objects/ files?

If your wagons are farming elves for their shaggy fur, you have duped raws.  :P

Generally duplicated raws are pretty spectacularly messed up. If the stone layers are really really weird or things randomly catch on fire or evaporate, then duped raws are to blame. In general, if you have to ask, the answer is probably no.

The errorlog explicitly points out any duplicated objects.

I think what you're asking is like an objects definition having the same tag included twice, correct? I can't think of a good way to check for that. Generally if you've got two body definitions in a creature theyll both show up when the creature is spawned. A good cue that something is up with names of a critter or material is that attempting to change it fails; there must be a second one there overriding your change. Duplicated tags like CRAZED you'll just have to sift through them.

I mean, having the same raw token twice just doesn't do anything but waste a very small amount of space in almost all cases (some, like ATTACK or BODY, will do weird things)

Thanks! This works great.

Sorry, I'm not very familiar with modding terminology. I think I was trying to ask about duplicate object definitions, not the tags.

If you don't mind me asking, is this for that LNP you've been working on?

Yes, it's for a LNP mod pack.
