I had to stretch him out a bit to make room for the other dwarves in the picture. They've ripped him in half, you just can't see it under his shirt.

I rubbed the blood into the armor and added hair. The blood really adds some depth to the liefeld-esque proportions.

quick question, what color are golbins' lips? They have green skin and red blood, I'm unsure of how that pigmentation works so I just used orange.

well they are composite colors, so most likely a shade of grey.

Do the artists here do requests? If so, then I'd like to see this guy:

You don't have to color it if you don't want to. (in fact, drawing it at all is completely optional.)

A great big "one-eyed serpent".

  :o

Yeah, that's bad enough. I'm just going to leave the spittle, undulation and oval scales alone.

Argonnek, you might like to look at this thread, especially if you don't have anything against black and white. Not to steal from here, but I kind of feel more comfortable there, and I haven't posted any artwork in Fan Art Competition. Anyway, if you like the style, give me a post.

If he hadn't mentioned it, I would have never noticed it, and now that I have, it's burning my mind. Now let's bury that request before certain people see it and turn it into something...terrifying.

"Missing its body" is wound system lingo for "dead". If you were to draw the monster while it was still alive, it would presumably be mostly intact.

It could just be a floating shelled head.

Speaking of floating heads, I drew this dorf head to see how well I can draw faces. The quality is a bit strange since I'm momentarily without a scanner, so I took the picture with my phone.

Do dwarves have a tendency to go prematurely bald?
I see more bald dwarves than dwarves with a mullet, thats for sure.

In any case, that is a nice beard.

Hah, with all the random weirdness and double entrendes in DF, Freud should be breakdancing in his grave for years now creating minor seismic activity now every now and then.

I think it's the head hair to beard ratio thing...with gravity's help, dwarves with awesome beards tend to redirect all nutrients into it leaving the "upper mountain devoid of trees" so to speak. They say only the most bad-ass dwarves can grow long head and beard hair equally without the help of goblin and elf blood and puke.
