The spider goes towards the sounds, eating darkness and leaving a strange trail as it goes. It is very large and not very bright by the time it reaches the edge of the world.

It appears that there really was a monster - it appears to have eaten all the brightness from the world, and torn the remainder to shreds. Knight of Honour is nowhere to be seen, but his sword floats in the strangeness. The snake is confronting the beast.

What is that black thing at it's core? Attack it and try to eat it. Protect the snake by spewing a web of darkness between it and the beast.

The spider spews out a web of darkness to protect the small snake.
It lunges for the larger snake's heart, and the snake strikes back. The strangeness seems to join the battle, and the combatants begin to fall apart.

The spider is beginning to lose its sense of self as it begins to lose cohesiveness and it starts to dissolve with the giant snake.

Absorb some of the blue stuff. It may help us to resist the strangeness, like the knight of order was able to. Continue to attack and attempt to eat the snake.
