Roll to Live in a Dungeonpunk Post-Apocalypse
« on: August 13, 2016, 08:08:22 pm »

Every generation a group of heroes would heed the call of prophecy of the time.  Sometimes two or three would come true, but they would be dealt with and those became legends.  Then twelve hit at once and the heroes couldn't keep up.  Fortunately, all the world ending events interfered with each other and the entire world wasn't destroyed, only civilization.

You have just arrived in a ramshackle town.  Indicate Age, Gender, Class, and Race.  Starting equipment will rolled for.

What if a massive war ended civilization millennia ago, causing the world to become an irradiated wasteland? The ancient ones were so advanced technologically that after the end-war, the knowledge it took to understand the ancient tech was forgotten, and ancient technology is considered to be 'magical'?

Base it off Turbo Kid!
Set in 1997 some years after the end of the world, a wasteland still soaked with traces of 80s cheese.
Players could play as rag-tag servants of a ruthless, one-eyed warlord named Zeus (or any other villain of your choosing), hunting down hapless wasteland-dwellers to
Spoiler: mild spoiler (click to show/hide)

Or they could be annoying do-gooders fighting to stop said warlord, if you want to go with tired old cliches...

I guess it's probably best to watch the movie first.
Or just loosely base the game off a few vague points. :)

Put up something generic for now.  Keep ideas for the setting and equipment coming.  Only limitations for selection is to keep the race humanoid and human sized.

I figure at some point, you're just gonna run outta fucks to give and just off yourself whenever you get hurt at all. It's not like there's any downsides to it. Hangover? Suicide will fix that. Stubbed your toe? Suicide. Headache? Suicide. Papercut? Suicide.
