D, let's not fuck around and get to what we're going to do anyway. Wonder if Wise would help with this?

If we jump straight to the wizard, he might decide we're just being lazy, especially if he turns out to be unnecessary. Let's start with something else, first.

We are not at war, nor, if I recall correctly, are we expecting to be in the near future. We should use our army for this, and keep our economy high- after all, more problems can be solved by money than by armies.

A
A thing I've noticed a lot here is the appeal of certain factions to us and even the prospect of trade over mere hearsay, like compare dwarves to elves where we gained items with bonuses from the former, and while the latter gave us nice benefits in the social field (which wasn't capitalized that much on, in part due to bad rolls), we've only heard [BLEH] from them, and the civil war. Alongside comparisons of the priesthood to the military and stuff...yeah :P

Though given the background of this King being OKAY with the clergy, I'm thinking of playing him as such (and we really need to discover more about the priesthood anyway)

874 AD, Mid-Spring

The spymaster meets you in a corridor.

"The investigation is finished, my liege."

"And?"

"Several rumors provided us with clues. After weeks of gathering information, we first obtained confession of Cylla's confidante maiden and the found Lady Cylla's diary. I have to tell you that Lady Cylla has been suffering from depression since your brother's untimely death and the most likely conclusion is that she commited suicide by drowning. I have allowed myself to recall the excess agents to other work." He bows and disappears into the shadows.
Are we SUUUURE it wasn't falsified @_@ Maybe it WAS THE ELVES! [/paranoia]

But did we do anything about this like a compensation or even a heartfelt letter? That's really tough, what happened to her. :-X

D has notably been a common choice with things like these (call a wizard).
...I can't see any which actually has something akin to this with our Wise trait--HOWEVER I do recall Haspen mentioning something of 'strange' beasts to a certain direction. I forgot where, it was in the section where we met the Sorceress and gained the Enduring trait or actually called Healthy. Searched up "Sorceress" and my recall came up with this, however what I was really thinking about was a mention of the possible origin of such beasts. Searching up 'beast' does NOT have any of North/Northeast in them (They all mentioned a northwest, west,  with all from forested locations)

Can I request the Luathbas map again?

Other than that, D. Seems best that Wise would help out with that since the other 3 don't seem to have that distinct of a connection in past searching.

You have some scouts look around for a Wizard.

But knowing form history of Luathbas that you read about in your books, Wizards are hard to find and a search isn't guaranteed to get one. Maybe it would be wise to, in the meanwhile, seek answers...

A) ...from chieftain of Dagovids?
B) ...amongst Hurthling people?
C) ...in Kingdom of Dahnia?

That was NICE! Our Wise trait made it like a half-action not taking up much time!

...I'm very tempted to do B. :P

A. Unless I'm wrong in recalling that the Dagovids were like the viking-esque people from the North?

Hang on... is the Dagovid chieftain not pissed off with [our dynasty]?
...well, I guess the Dahnians probably don't know much, and the Hurthlings made it pretty clear they just want to be left alone...

See, that was the rationale I had as well. If they can't find a wizard, we can just do other research while they look.

So A!
