We need light first.
I say we Activate our Mesmerising Flame to provide us with some light for longer than a few rounds. Then move back away from the probably gremlins. We have free Fire Bolts with our Wand, might as well use them or prep to use them.
Once combat is resolved, try to magic a small light. We can shoot fire and set ourselves aflame, this shouldn't be the most difficult thing in the world. We probably did this in Magic Training Class anyway.
Jean realizing that she'll need a reliable light source and decides to use her unique spell, conjuring four multi-colored flames which float around her constantly oscillating in color....

However, while Distracting Flame seems to be affecting the gremlins sight due to the brightness they do not seem to be memorized by it. Jean backs up immediately after putting some distance between herself and the grimlins.

Both Grimlins rush toward Jean without hesitation! Running on all fours and snarling as they close the gap, and are loudly splashing as the run the through the puddles of water that have accumulated on the tunnel floor. The sounds of water splashing is echo ythroughout the cave.
