What Cake for my Birthday?
« on: July 09, 2016, 07:30:10 pm »

So some people are on a cake fix and want me to decide on what Cake I want for my birthday in just a few weeks.

Usually I ask for Strawberry Shortcake but those have mixed results (And a GOOD Strawberry Shortcake is my favorite)

But I am out of ideas of what I want.

Does anyone here have any good cake ideas?

Black Forest. Chocolate and cherries. Also soaked in either cherry liqueur or rum, if everyone in attendance is at least [drinking age]. Not too complicated to make either; you're basically putting together an orderly pile of alcohol-soaked chocolate sponge, sour cherry pie filling and whipped cream.

Sour Cream Chocolate Cake.

No, seriously, it's delicious. Frosting ends up very light, tasting similar to cheese cake with that the little bit of tartness.

Cheesecake, superior to all normal cakes.

I'm partial to German Chocolate myself. I recommend it if you're into really sweet stuff.

Generally, French Vanilla cakes (I mean the good stuff, not cheapo shit) are the absolute best cheesecakes you can ever get.

Or wait, are you looking to make your own? Sour cream makes a delicious base for icing.

carrot cake with cream cheese frosting is good for something different and tasty. instead of the sugar fest of other cakes it is dense and spice-ful.
so tasty~~!

The moon could be bigger though, that cake is about 50% fondant, needs more cakey goodness.
