You'll be in the next test.
Though normally I wouldn't let people sign up in advance, the next test's player limit is quite large, methinks.
~~~
Now then, I have a mechanic I would like to share with you all: AI rolling.
[1]: Suicidal: Player will do everything in their power to get themselves killed, preferably in a funny manner, perhaps while protecting former enemies.
[2]: Idle: Player takes no action, except breathing. No dodge. No nothing.
[3]: Monk: Player will only move away from other mobile multicellular lifeforms and meditate.
[4]: Survivor: Player will do what they need to do in order to survive, and nothing more.
[5]: Tactician: Player will attempt to win the game as best possible.
[6]: BESERK RAGE: PLAYER KILL EVERYTHING BUT SELF. NO REGARD FOR SURVIVAL.
I'll be interested in testing it on Whisperling if he doesn't show up soon.
Go ahead, if you like. Otherwise I keep trying to kill ATH.
Turn 11: Burning Man
INIT:
Lina(20)
KingMurdoc(66)
AbstractTraitorHero(83)
_DivideByZero_(47-30=17)
Whisperling(29)
Consume soul heal damage with that use his corpse as meatshield.
Munch Munch(1+2=3) vs. NOOOOOOO!(2)
AbstractTraitorHero licked her nonexistent lips looking at KingMurdoc's soul. Then she forgot to actually eat it instead of tasting it. (KingMurdoc creeped out)
Hold ATH to my face until I reach the pool, continue struggling toward that.
Let's Not Die(5)
Perhaps if KingMurdoc stumbled in the right direction he might have made it to the pool. But he didn't. His movement was futile. And he died. And the arena reshaped itself. (Abstract gains 3 Trope Points)
Otherwise I keep trying to kill ATH.
THWACK!(2+3=5) vs. Dodge(9-1=8)
Whisperling's wrench blow missed by quite a bit, despite Whisperling's advance knowledge of where Abstract was going to move.
Quote from: Lina
(Whisperling)
Okay everybody, take down the man with the wrench!
Dragon Slave(10+3=13) vs. Precognitive Dodge(9-1+3=11) and Flow Dodge(9-1=8)
Lina barked a command, and her minions dropped low as she spit a cone of fire above their heads. If not for her skill as a fire user, Whisperling might have escaped it, using his advance knowledge. But now, it hit both Abstract and Whisperling.
Dragon Fire Burns(9+3+2=14) vs. Burning Man(10-2=8) and Burning Ectoplasm Monster(10-1=9)
Astonishingly, both of her targets survived. For some value of survived, anyway.
Whisperling: (full body burns(-1 to dodge, and -2 to willpower for next two turns), greater chest burns(-2 to chest damage resistance))
Abstract: (fiery ectoplasm disruption(duration refreshed, now -2 to dodge and -2 to damage resist, and -1 to willpower))
((I can almost not believe you both survived that. Sadly...))
DAKKA(4+3=7) vs. Precognitive Burning Man Dodge(5+3-1-1=6) and Burning Ectoplasm Dodge(4-2=2)
MOREDAKKA(2+3=5) vs. Burning Man Glancing Resist(3) and Ectoplasm Resist(5-2=3)
((...))
Whisperling and Abstract are promptly hit with several glancing blows.
Whisperling: (glancing bullet cuts(-1 to dodge next turn))
Abstract: (further disruption, additional -1 to dodge next turn)
Feign death and sleep.
Let's See How This Goes(10)
_DivideByZero_ promptly entered a meditative trance that just happened to mimic the appearance of death.
(... death trance, all who see you must make a perception roll to determine that you are alive, once you wake up, you'll get +10 to init for each turn you spent in the trance, and +1 to all physical rolls for every two turns spent in trance)
Buy one benifical trope! Try and use the dead guys corpse as a shield and try to siphon my enemy's souls slowly to heal myself.
((Yo, Whisperling, you need to get over here so Lina can murderize you.))
((Also, might as well generate Abstract's beneficial trope...))
[Tier 1, Passive]: Unnecessarily Creepy Robot: You have a robot butler now. With retractable chainsaw blades, an evil laugh, and eye lasers. It gets +2 to durability. Further tiers will further improve the butler.
Turn 12: Trial By Fire
INIT:
Lina(9)
_DivideByZero_(71)
AbstractTraitorHero(89)
Whisperling(52)
Buy one benifical trope! Try and use the dead guys corpse as a shield and try to siphon my enemy's souls slowly to heal myself.
Trope acquireinated.
Meatshield Technique(1)
That didn't work out. To be precise, Abstract wrapped herself around KingMurdoc's body... then crushed its midsection. No more body to hide behind.
Soul Siphon(2+2-1=3) vs. NO(7-2-2-2=1)
If not for Whisperling's wounds, AbstractTraitorHero might have failed. As it was, she barely succeeded. But that was enough to link to Whisperling's soul. (Lesser soul link, +1 to soul magic against Whisperling, will dissolve at the end of next turn if not boosted)
Learn to levitate during trance.
Meditation Magickery(7)
_DivideByZero_ felt something. Something on the edge of his mind. Though he couldn't yet levitate himself... there was something, something he needed to touch, yet couldn't. But he was closer. (+2 to next meditation roll, next turn)
Run away. Possibly screaming.
Run, Run!(5)
((Normally I wouldn't roll, but have you seen your injury list?))
Whisperling dashed off towards the stairs... tripped, fell down them.
OUCH(10)
Whisperling fell down the stairs, but thankfully never hit his chest, and stood up without a mark.
Perception(1)
Whisperling examined a new corpse, that of _DivideByZero_. Though he wondered what happened to make him die, there was no doubt in Whisperling's eyes that _DivideByZero_ was dead. (cannot reroll perception for this task barring some sort of outside interference.)
Quote from: Lina
Alrighty then, looks like that slime thing is our next target.
Burn Bolt(7+3+1=11) vs. Flow Dodge(9-2-1=6)
Crispify(3+3=6) vs. Resistance(4-2=2)
Lina's fireball was swift and sure, striking Abstract in her center of mass. (fiery disruption refreshed, now -3 to dodge, -2 to damage resist, and -1 to willpower)
Dakka Dakka(1+3=4) vs. Flow(4-3-1=0)
Rip and Tear(10+3=13) vs. Oh Shoot(4-2=2)
((I will remind you that the instakill threshold is a difference of 8 in the damage resist roll...))
One bullet. That was all it took. And an extremely lucky shot. The bullet hit Abstract in her core. And then, instead of animate slime, there was just slime.
(Abstract dead, might still be able to come back as ghost)
(Looks like all of Abstract's tropes are linked to her mind and not her particular body, so she'll keep them unless she fails her ghost-making-roll)
