In lighter news, both candidates have finally staked out positions on a truly important issue -- Pokemon Go.

Hillary Clinton appears to be embracing it, to the extent of holding a rally at a Pokemon Go gym and using a lure module to lure attendees. She also showed some more of that suave Clinton wit with this totally-not-awkward attempt at being hip and/or "with it". Clinton is rumored to have a Mewtwo with a CP over 9000. When asked how she's managed to play enough to reach such a level so quickly, she said "Oh, I have a private server at h-- I mean I guess I've just been lucky."  :P

Meanwhile, when asked if he played, Donald Trump responded with "I don't, but people are playing it. No question about it...I do not. I wish I had time." He reportedly added, "Pikachu is a longtime friend. Great guy...err, cat-bunny-thing. The Pokemons love me, I mean all of them. You know though, it's sad what Obama and Crooked Hillary have allowed the Japanese to do to us. You know why people keep finding nothing but Pidgeys and Rattatas? Because we don't win anymore. They're laughing at us in Japan. Nintendo is sitting on a pile of Onixes and Starmies and they're sending us their trash-tier. When I'm President, I'll make sure America gets the best Pokemons."

His staffers then posted the following animated attack ad on Trump's Facebook page:

Apart from this premature event, I haven't see anything in UK politics approaching CandyCrushGate, yet....

(By the way, I've no idea what a CP of 9000 means, and only somewhat understand the concept of gyms in this context.  I'll let you decide whether that is to my credit or discredit...)

"Deus Lo Volt" is filthy peasant broken medieval latin though and sounds way too French to be intimidating. Simple "Deus Vult" is technically right, though the crusaders (at least your regular ones, not the properly educated ones) themselves did actually use your version.

That's actually wrong. First of all, Wendish Crusade took place nowhere near Poland and by that time Poland was already Christian (not that Germans cared much, but we kicked their asses back every time because in this case Deus clearly didin't Vult)... not to mention that there was literally Polish detachment taking part in that one.

Well, the King was Christian, I'll concede that. And yeah, it seems the Wendish Crusade took place further west than modern-day Poland, but hey, at least it succeeded in Removing Potatoes.
