So I noticed one of the other articles there about the voter monitoring stuff and how Trump is all but directly encouraging voter intimidation and such. It mentioned "Shelby v Holden" in 2013 overturning many provisions which kept this stuff under control in the Voting Rights Act, and I thought 'Goddammit Memphis, seriously?' but upon checking further it seems it was the Shelby County in Alabama, wasn't us this time.

Thanks, there are Shelby TN cases which have been damaging to voter protection recently so I was kinda surprised to find it wasn't this time.

Yknow there is a chance that we could see a realignment that breaks the social/economic left/right correlation. So it could be interesting times which might let you guys be ahead of a lot more places.

The official party itself, I don't believe so to any meaningful extent. Still pretty incestuous with social conservatism, even if some of them hold official policies that are somewhat distanced from it.
