Dat Trump. Appointing his son in law. I guess the only thing holding back impeachment now is the fact that Trump's not inaugurated yet.
Perhaps you should per-emptively rename Inauguration Day into Impeachment Day

He's not going to get impeached over that, especially not with the Republicans running things.

Besides, the nepotism law only covers positions in federal offices, and the WH isn't considered a federal office in the law which was made in the 60s. I know it sounds silly, but that's how they wrote it.

Technically, an impeachable offense is whatever the House decides it is.  And if the requisite number of Senators agree, then it goes through.  That is why Clinton never got removed from office: too many democrats thought that removing him over perjury about having an affair while in office was not a good idea.

Only vaguely. Made of the same substance and put to the same use, but a bit like comparing a castle and a doublewide trailer.

Yeah, Trump is protected by the fact that we are at the beginning of a Nightmare Mode game of Liberal Crime Squad.

I dunno. Maybe that's an exaggeration. Mind you, I'm still a bit worried. But It's not gonna be that shithole. Hell, only difficulty I'm comfortable playing on in LCS because anything else just leaves a weird taste in my mouth. At least in Nightmare Mode, it's more or less justified for the most part.

What is that "Nightmare Mode" thing? I'm not super-familiar with LCS, is that like when the entire country is taken over by Elite Conservatives or something?

Yah. It's a horrible place where hope and optimism go to die if you aren't a straight male Conservative.

Yes, it's basically LCS's hard mode. All laws and political bodies begin as solidly arch-conservative, whereas in normal mode they'd be mixed and within the realm of plausibility. It starts you off decently close to losing the game via constitutional amendment, so you can't stay underground gathering power.

...wait, I thought the only way to lose the LCS game was to die in combat? What does that "constitutional amendment" do, put liberalism out of law forever or something?

Nullifies the Constitution, restores the Confederacy, and declares Reagan the eternal God-King of America. The Supreme Court is replaced with CEOs and Televangelists.

Well that sounds pretty ominous, given that the next Trump's cabinet is also composed mostly of ex-CEOs.

Didn't Reagan have mostly ex-CEOs too? Not as many as Trump, also, I remember reading that one presidents cabinet was called x (number, which I forget) bankers/millionaires and a plumber. Eisenhower I think? Or Truman?

Just saying that its not the first time that there have been a lot of ex-ceos, though never THIS many.

Isn't Reagan criticized TO THIS DAY about his handling of economics? To the point where Reaganomics is an insult?

That would depend rather heavily on who you ask.
