Sunrise Academy Chapter 1: Bastion of Light and Hope

A bright, new, and sunny day shines upon the newly-founded Sunrise Academy. Even surrounded by its tall walls, you can see how large the main building is - what did the Headmaster call it again? A "beacon of hope"? In any case, you get out of the fancy limousine provided for all of you and stand in front of the ornate school gates that bear its emblem - a black silhouette of a sunrise behind a royal-looking scepter. The door quickly unlocks and an official-looking man stands up and salutes to all of you collectively, adjusting his shades.

"Hello, my name is Judan Hanro, but my friends simply call me Han, and you are all, of course, my friends. I have been tasked with guiding all of you through your first day, so please follow me, alright?" He chuckles, covering his mouth with a gloved hand.

"Welcome to Sunrise Academy."

Kyle looks about in confusion as he stands in front of the door with his lone bag of clothes. He stares at the emblem curiously as if he has no idea what it is.

Atsuko appears extremely excited, almost literally jumping out of the limousine. Sadly for whoever is going to clean it, it is now covered in goop. She shivers with anticipation and looks around the others. She chooses a random person out of the group and selects Akemi to greet first. Sliding towards her, she extends a slimy hand.

"Hi! I'm Atsuko! What's your name?"

A silver-haired girl clambers out of the limousine, looking up at the school with her arms folded over her chest. A halo of light plays over her.
Atsuko doesn't seem to faze her.
"Yamamoto Akemi. Pleased to meet you."
She continues to look at the building.

A girl with pink hair and red eyes slides lazily out of the limousine, looking like she's just woken up from a nap. She rubs her eyes a bit as Hanro speaks, and a quizzical expression comes upon her face "Eh? Deceptions?"

A black-haired girl in black clothing, meanwhile, seems to be glowering nearby.

"Of course." He looks around and, seeing how no-one seems to be around, being on the outskirts of the city and all, nods at the pink-haired girl. "My glasses make me appear to be a regular human. If I were to remove them..." He does so, a pair of white rabbit ears popping up from the top of his head.

"You all have something similar to my shades, am I right?" He slides them back on, and the ears seem to pop back down.
