60 years ago Britain was without a doubt British, 100 years ago Britain was without a doubt British, we're not talking about China towns so much as demographic changes whose impacts have permanently changed the demographic makeup of what Britons are on a likeness not seen since Angles and Jutes first invaded, and all on the behest of a government that did so on purpose just to spite their political opponents with diversity lol
China towns could appear or disappear and not really have much of an effect on anywhere, but London is literally a foreign country to the rest of the UK in every sense of the word. Britons are a minority, Londoners do not see themselves as British, many do not speak English, are fresh off boat and the Britons that are here despise the very notion of being called British. I talked to an Englishman who grew up in London whose ancestry could be traced back to the freaking Napoleonic conquest and he did not see himself as English o_O
Wtf is wrong with this country legit, when recent migrant groups are the only people with common sense enough to point out obvious issues lol
Look at it this way, as I think there is confusion here
http://i.imgur.com/I51nuH4.gifDarker = more people who identify as British
Darkest areas are amongst areas that are full of migrants and mixed cultural heritage
http://i.imgur.com/N267fOf.gifDarker blue = more people who identify as Scottish
Darker purple = more people who identify as Welsh
Darker red = more people who identify as English
These are people who have been English, Welsh and Scottish for generations and generations
Now, I am British. Not English, or Welsh, or Scottish or any other variants, British first and Londoner second, and I think it's a matter of great success that people from across the world come to Britain and feel so attached that they call it home and spend their lives here working to make it better. But then I also have known a much darker side to British nationalism, that is accepting of everyone who comes here, be they white Europeans or brown south Asians, but utterly inimical to the people who were here before us. I dunno if this is just me, cos as I was raised I was of mixed, mixed cultural heritage with strong roots in being "long term guests," I think it's important to respect the hosts, but the hosts seem to hate themselves so I'm just left wondering what the hell is up with them. The issue being the hosts do not see themselves as connected with their own roots, so the English, Welsh and Scots in power are happy to forge a great new British identity without even bothering to think of the long term consequences of their actions or even without a coherent plan beyond assuming diversity sorts itself out. Notably in the heatmaps, there are two exclusive British identities at stake here - more on that later, but in areas where there are loads of enriched Britons, there are no historical Britons and vice versa.
Sadly the results have been altogether turbulent. Besides multiculturalism failing, the diversity experiment proving to have just been done for the lols, we have at least recovered somewhat so now even the thousands of jihadis we export proudly describe themselves as Al-Britani; it's a start ;
D
Reminds me of how progressive parties like the SNP talk about the wonders of multiculturalism and mass migration even though they're in charge of homogenous areas. SNP saying we're bigots for trying to slow migration when they're 93% white British and 96% white is absolutely priceless, though of course given that they don't live in London where the English, Irish, Scots and Welsh all combined only make up 46% of London, that's understandable. I digress too much, the point is is that with London inevitably rippling throughout the rest of the country alongside the other great urban centres like Birmingham, the historical identities and their cultures, religions, accents and customs are being eroded quite literally from the periphery of urban England (Scotland are yet to be culturally enriched). Given recent trends in historical academia and popular media, so too their history!
As I see it there are multiple identities
- Historical Welsh, English and Scottish "British", of Britain, who do not identify themselves as British, but are the British. Irish closely related, treated legally as British - but not British, they fought for that distinction
- White British, who are white and identify as British, but hold themselves apart from the historical identities.
- The most common usage, British - everyone from across the world who identifies with Britain. This is why Commonwealth residents voting was so important, they are British. A more sovereign and civic term, it is based in the shared history of the Commonwealth.
- A significant minority of whites who identified as European is also notable. A guardian poll put it at 15%, most common with whites living in diverse cosmopolitan environments like London.
- Then there's about some several hundreds of thousands of people who don't identify with any Britishness, which sounds like a lot but in the scale of tens of millions of people is easily workable and is a pretty good sign imo
In regards to the EU, I did not like how it made Britons turn into white people, then white people into Europeans. Was quite creepy to me how they got them to forsake their roots so readily, so malleable were their identities that people were predicting upon Remain victory more whites identifying as European vs British. The seedling hatches, shoots above and roots below, and the seedling lacking roots has shoots that cannot grow. So the nice saying goes
Integration into the civic British group identity I do not think is particularly a great issue (not one to be ignored), more the difference in morals that I am unsure about (as joked before, what is the point in exporting jihadi Britons, it's not much consolation if they identify as British - far from it if this makes them want to attack Britain). It's more a simple case of so many identities clashing, the historical British of the British Isles and historical British of the Commonwealth and the globalist cosmopolitan of whiteness and Europeanism. It's such a big issue I've only just touched on and already it the post is too long, point being every concern was brushed aside and ignored. Historical British were told to accept enrichment, not asked - told, told by globalist whites who hated them (it was quite embarrassing how twice we had two white progressive leaders [one of whom was our prime minister] embarrassingly admit how much they hated voters concerned with immigration for being racist xenophobic bigots, unaware that their microphones were on), and now civic Britons must find a way to live alongside both each other and with historical Britons. Look at London in the heatmaps, there is a core of those who are steadily replacing those who identify as English, causing a backlash against ethnic Britons when they can't be blamed for being invited by the nebulous "whites". There is a serious balancing game where we have to be concerned with keeping a high skills economy up, maintaining the heritage of the countries, maintaining civic solidarity between the countries, Commonwealth and beyond, security and demographic timebombs, concerns which it took 16 years to be taken seriously without every London statesmen looking down on regional men and women for being low information e.t.c.
This shit is so complicated and everyone is looking for simple solutions. I'm not too concerned with racists because their simple solutions are violence and our police force is the best in the world (riot police force, not so much), and civil suppression simply too powerful for final solutions to be enacted by Britain First. (I always love the inaccurate but altogether hilarious saying, the British invented police, Chinese invented secret police). However I have seen the effects of Progressive governance, of demographic changes for the sake of it, or Rotherham cases across the country covered up for insane reasons, - above all, my experience of the British education system has left me gobsmacked. You're never quite the same again after you see a room full of a dozen whites calling for a violent uprising against whites. Where the hell do you start? Simple, addressing people's legitimate concerns. For much too long our cities have walled themselves off from the voices of the country people despite the country people making the country, that is why it depressed me when my urban comrades reacted to Brexit by doubling down their walls and placing every finger in their ears :/
Though now less nebulous whites will identify as European, that's a start heh
I still cannot fathom why 2nd gen Sikhs are more proud of Britain than cosmo whites
Alas
I hope this goes at some length to explaining what is being lost as enrichment is gained
