now thinking about it I guess those personal skill traits could be work on and grind up through adventure reactions so you could train your adventurer to be a better comedian and write masterpiece comics

It'd be interesting if traits could change based on gameplay.

uhh I think most can be talk through others has to be done through loads and loads of booze. I found you can increase excitement seeking through interactions which makes it alot easier to recruit folks/get companions.

I thought only values could change during conversation and traits were what they were.

dwarf fortress now allows for trait modification through syndromes and or interactions due to how alcohol affects dwarves.
which gives players just enough tools to alter some gameplay effected traits like excitement seeking (only one I tested this on) I guess one could write an interaction that maximize a creature fear trait and causes them to run from a battle.
