Birch pats his daughter's head as he turns to the rest of the group. Upon seeing the size he jolts a little in surprise.
"Oh, sorry. I was a bit distracted. Let me guess, you're here for your pokedexes right? And, of course, a starter for any of you who lack one just yet. Let me just go grab the case and your dexes..."
The professor walks off to grab the aforementioned items. This gives the group plenty of time to look at the various computers, machines,  and sterile surfaces. It smells like dog.

Kendra attempts to patiently wait for the items. Key-word "attempt". She's very visibly trying her hardest to restrain herself from running after the Professor and grabbing the first starter she sees.

Sora finishes off the Poffin in his beak before heading off to examine a machine with a chirp. However, Ren sighs and stops it by gently grabbing his head from behind.
"No, Sora, you can't."
Disappointed chirping.
"This isn't home, you can't go around and just peck at stuff. And anyway you always scared off all the Pidoves!"
Now a protesting chirp. Sora seems offended.
"S-still. No!"
The Starly seems defeated as he heads back onto his perch on Ren's shoulder.
