Oh, sorry about that. I was actually hoping to minimise that so I only did a max of 5 experiments per Tick. If I decrease it to 1, can I prevent the funny things from happening?

If I were to make non-sentient demons, linked to the underworld node and controlled by a single sapient demon, also bound to the node, would the cost of the non-sentient demons be included in the cost of the node (which I intend to be of medium size at first, costing 4E)? If not, how much would they cost?

They would spawn from the node, and if they get destroyed, more will spawn from the node (slowly, after a period of time). Their main purpose would be the retribution of the cruel/selfish/harmful souls judged by the node of judgement, but they could also perform other roles in Hell with other souls that have to wait before they get reincarnated, such as combat training with combat-oriented souls, etc.

Non-sentient animals are free. So long as the demons aren't super-dangerous, they won't cost you a single Essence even if they spawned on the material plane without a node. Considering Hell is supposed to be a demi-afterlife plane - YOUR demi-afterlife plane - you can make them as OP as you want without Essence or a node unless you plan for the demons to go outside of Hell or something like that. Within Hell, your power is absolute.

The sapient demon would usually cost some but so long as it's related to the Underworld sphere, you could roll it into the node no problem.
