Actually, it's the character that is meta; they keep saying that they and all the other characters are from fictional worlds, and TBF kept having them do it despite repeatedly being told it wasn't allowed.

Geez that's only okay if you potray the character as clearly crazy and it's only a very small part of them if your going to have a character break the fourth wall and be meta it must be done sparingly or it can break and ruin suspense and immersion in a game if it's of a more serious nature.

I don't mind it, personally; my character just assumes they hit their head on the fall that started the game. But others say that it ruins the game for them.

They've gotten better about it; the character usually keeps it to themselves now.

Yeah it's okay to have a character have that belief but it definitely shouldn't be their only aspect in most of my games you may notice that my characters personality or way they act changes a lot depending on the other characters and as such change a lot from my original design.

True definitely if you want to go meta with any part of your character you should talk to the GM first before just giving it a go ahead.
