Excited with latest discoveries Marley got an idea of human-mutant cooperation. Interesting...you aren't far different from the mutant...and seeing that there are more of these, more advanced brain...I wonder if, using your mutant, we could come to comunicate with other ones. Even have them assist. They are obviously smart, capable of using tactics...I think these thkngs could even use our technology if they wanted. We will need an unbonded mutant to test. His idea was quickly rejected by Dustan, who had more experience with dealing with those mutants. I doubt it sir, they're quite hostile to anything that isn't them under most circumstances. best case you would be told to, pardon my English, "piss off". [Dustan: 6, Controller: 3, Marley: 6] Dustan wanted to delve deeper into the mind of controller and scan it's defensive system. To set it off-guard, he ordered controller to just relax. Mutant took a food ration from Dustan's equipment, took a seat on a chair and started eating. Dustan then focused on scanning defensive systems of controller's mind. It was really easy getting into it and scanning neural structures responsible for it. But deep within it, he found the mind that prevoiusly tried to kill him, clinging to few brain cells loaded with psionics!

Marley took out repeller shards and put them on a table, and then he took a bottle with jellyfish acid. He took it out clumsily and spilled some on artifact shards. The artifact pushed acid away, at Marley!

[1] Marley had no chance to dodge it or cover himself with anything. The acid got on his face and inflicted heavy burns!

[3] When the anomaly was marked, the squad moved on. After a trudge through forests they got to an open plain from which they saw CHP Straholesye. It was quite close.

Bill Alabaster vs Jak

[Bill: 6, Jak: 6, The Thing: 1] Jak recovered from hit in the head and ran slightly backwards then started advancing towards Bill. Stalker aimed his shotgun right at Jak's head, waiting for a good moment to shoot. The Thing decided to cut in, but then the time-space anomaly became active again!

Jak and Bill found themselves in Cherevach village, anomaly putting them a few metres away from themselves. As for The Thing, the anomaly shred him to pieces and let out a bloody rain over Cherevach fields.

Giennadii "Giena" Vassilich Zheytsun

Make the briefest of announcements on the radio to go to the sarcophagus and go there with my team NOW.

There is no time! Follow me! There is no time! - Giennadii called people from rescue group and ran closer.

[4] They immediately followed him to his hideout, where Giena made a radio announcement about gathering by sarcophagus. Then the group went out of hideout and ran towards sarcophagus. They can see tall chimneys of power plant in the distance, but it would take some time until they reach the block 4.

[4] As the sniper hit the ground, Irene shot him in head just to be sure that he's dead. Using exploding bullets, the skull exploded in a gory rain.

Dustan finally reached the core of controller's mind. A last stand of controller's independent thought. He tried to speak to it and learn from it. I can't say I was expecting to meet you like I did. What is your name? I don't want to just call you controller all the time.

[1] The independent bit of mutant's mind responded with incomprehensible impulses, which with time turned into: I AM YOUR DEATH. Then the defensive system started arming up!

[2] CYKA! CYKA CYKA - Marley jumped back, surprised by acid getting on his face. He wiped the acid off his face but was under too big shock to think about healing his face with artifacts or healing touch.

Barracks in Straholesye are full, but you can station here for a few days. Your best bet would be to go to CHP Dytyatki.*

Suddenly a flash... and legs of some unlucky stalker fallen from sky and landed in front of the squad.

[Bill: 1, Jak: 6] It seems that this anomaly has really quick recharge time and huge radius! Again it activated before Jak and Bill could even react. Mutant appeared back in Prypiat. Bill had much less luck. The anomaly became unstable and dismembered stalker, sending his legs to some forests. They fallen right in front of squad of soldiers. Other half of Bill ended in entirely different place... the sarcophagus of Chernobyl Power Plant in block 4. Bill tried to crawl, but he was bleeding out rapidly and haven't had enough strenght. After a while of lying on the cold floor, helpless, a swarm of rats crawled out of dark corners of power plant and devoured him alive.

[5] Moving onward through forested streets of Prypiat, Giennadii makes a prayer and after a moment one member of group that was coming with him spotted a vechicle in one of garages. Giennadii took a look at it and recognised it as army truck - a KamAZ-4350 4x4! He immediately run to it and opened a cabin. The key was in the ignition, tank fully fueled up and there was some military equipment left inside! Giennadii ignited the truck and drove off from garages, then picked up the group and drove towards Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. They should get there in no time!

[2] Irene wanted to check if the boss is visible in the window. She took a look at it but couldn't see anyone.

[Mafia: 3, Guards: 3] The batte still raged with no casualities on both sides.

[5] The footsteps were getting closer and closer. Suddenly Irene heard a voice Bell-ringer! Get back to the church, there's no need to ring the bell right now. We'll do it after these good men will defeat the evil that poisons our land! - it was a pope calling bell-ringer. And don't forget to lock the doors before you go back! Sniper on the tower has his own key. - Irene heard the bell-ringer going down and close the doors. Now no one would disturb her for some time.
