Turn 34
The Moon is shining brightly and a cold wind is blowing. Acidic fields around Chernobyl move towards the town at unnerving pace!
Lorence "Lucky" Jackson and Nix
Approach them Slowly, if they don't react Go to the Oak.
Start running backwards, taking shots behind me to slow them down.
The moonlight glows up Chernobyl, making it look like a nightmarish scene of horror movie, full of gore, shambling abominations and ghouls.
[2, 6] Lorence takes a few steps forward, towards the swarm. They feel his presence and some of them slowly shamble towards him. Nix loads his assault rifle and runs backwards, shooting at ghouls. The whole swarm starts to scream cacophonically and run towards him, without giving Lorence much attention.
[6] Lorence decided to run for it and getting past the swarm, he runs up the stairs to the balcony and climbs up the oak. As he climbs up, he feels a strong wind blowing at his face. From the height he could see that huge cloud of corrosive gas, slowly floating towards the town! Luckily it doesn't reach for the balcony and oak's treetop, so Lorence is perfectly safe up there.
[3] Nix runs around the streets, shooting backwards towards the swarm.
[1] All his bullets miss, he lost one whole magazine.
Anna Iveson
Get the boat somewhere where it won't be damaged.
[2] You take the rowboat closer to the shore, but it still could get stolen by rapid waters or wind could push it into the water.
Nardo Polo
Oh no I missed so many (2) turns
Take a drugsss. Offer some to the stoic fellow next to me.
Then I suppose help stop the acid gas from leaking in using survival knowledge? I've heard good things about piss soaked rags in situations like this.
[3] Nardo turns to the stoic fellow next to him, the one who he tried to talk to before.
- Well if I'm going to die I'm at least gonna die high as a kite. How about you, want some?
- Sorry, but if I'm going to survive this, I must be clean!
Well, more drugs left for you! You take the drugs you've had before and instantly feel energy rapidly flowing to you! You also get winded a bit quicker, but feel more skillful.
- Discovered full effects of Nardo's drugs -
You get energized
You receive 1+ roll bonus
You regenerate slower - Regeneration
[3 +1] Now that you've taken your drugs, it's time to stop that gas leak. You turn to that stoic mercenary and rip his trench coat off him, then piss on it and order others to hold it. For some reason, it works like a charm and the leak has been stopped!
[5] Drivers noticed that the acidic cloud is moving violently towards Chernobyl and stopped driving. After a while you're completely out of the corrosive gas cloud. They report to commander:
- Acidic fields move towards Chernobyl, it'd be a dead spot for weeks! We're out of the clouds reach currently.
He replies.
- Mission cancelled due to anomalies. Let's head for another target, there are some labs, about halfway to Chernobyl. We left it behind us. There's some scientific research to recover, and we could get nice payment for this assignment.
The truck turns at nearby road and backtracks towards the labs.
Dustan Hache
Keep moving, it can't be too far..
[2] In the moonlight you follow the road. Dark forests surround you, but they don't feel as overwhelming and ominous as forests in the Zone. You hear baying of wolves in the distance. You think that you can already see a building or two, but they're still far away.
Fisk Black
Fire into the swarm.
[3] Ghouls strike at the barricade once more, it gets lightly damaged but still holds strong. Colonel shouts:
- Ready!? Fire!
You repeat with
- Let's drop these cуки.
[1] All of you unleash your firepower... completely missing the swarm! All your bullets end up in the barricade, damaging it and creating a weak spot for the swarm!
[1] Ghouls keep on pressing and tear the barricade down! All the debris and furniture flies around, hitting one of the drivers in the head and knocking him out instantly! Colonel escapes to another position.
- Keep shooting!
[4] This time you all aim right at the swarm, reducing it's numbers greatly. Black ichor spills everywhere around, it feels really strange to the touch.
You get + Regeneration
You get + Radiation
Irene Dragojavich
Wait for the guards to become occupied, and then find a way in. Focus on rifles, ammo, and then armor/supplies.
Irene just sits there, stunned. Thrown out of a car in the dark? No big deal. Trying to navigate through an invisible field of death? Bring it on! Having to deal with...that?! Nope. She's done. Once she grabs what she needs from the outpost, she's finding somewhere to sell the artifacts and getting out of the zone.
[4] The mutant's attack served as an ideal distraction for the remaining soldier! He runs around nervously, trying to find his comrade but then he stumbles on a small rock and hits the ground face-first. He doesn't stand up for a while, so it's your chance to get to their armory.
[6] In the moonlight you sneak towards the building. You hear a loud thump - that mutant got out of it's hideot and is wandering the surrounding area again!
[3] It found the lying soldier and grabbed him by his legs, then dragged down to it's lair. A pair is always better than just one. You go on, slightly shocked by this monster. Only God knows what happened with these soldiers. You silently open the door, avoiding to attract mutant's attention and search around it.
[2] You can't find too much in the darkness.
((Made a mistake and posted previous turn as 34th, instead of 33rd! Fixed it already. For players in Chernobyl - find some safe spot or you'll get melted. Lorence is safe up on the oak, or balcony if he goes down there.))
