A professional executioner and execution location, like gallows or an altar, to kill caged prisoners and boost popular morale

The hammerer at a chain?

Reading his name would trigger it. Thinking of him would trigger it. No other circumstances would trigger it- it was strictly related to the concept of Bill Clinton entering the conscious mind.

The hammerer at a chain?
I was thinking more like something staged, like an old west execution with a cheering audience

I think killing PoWs may be against Dwarven Ethics, though I'm not sure.

This is yet another suggestion that's only good when we have playable species with differing ethics.

I imagine the weird procedurally generated races that mythgen will bring should have random ethics. Expect all sorts of amusing bug reports when people end up with "Eat Sapient Civ Member: Required" and "Kill enemy: Punish_serious"...

Imagine a nasty goblin that slaughtered several soldiers and some children in the way. The victims families could get at least some relief by watching that f*cker die

You're thinking of this from a human perspective, dwarves are an entirely different species and they'll just be happy it's over so they can get back to work.

still I think they do have feelings about death and shocking events, I guess thats why they get horrified and other feelings. It´s all really interesting, will try to get some feedback on dwarven psychology
