In defense of paternoster, evade only blocks 1 attack. Paternoster blocks all attacks on a given turn. Also, wounds don't nerf your evasion with paternoster like it does with evade.

Nix had to use the SPIRIT! to get a fair chance against Tiruin, but she managed to escape death by an inch's width!
