You let the guards lead you to the location they want you to go.  While you first react with confusion to the chute they lead you to, you are soon enlightened to its purpose when they kick you down the chute.  After a moderately long tumble, you end up in a room with two doors in a line on the opposite wall.  Above the doors is a short message that reads, "Welcome to the Arena.  Kill enough other mutants and you will be released from here."
