Develop Stylet and start eating the leaf to get energy
+1 First a leaf, tomorrow, THE WORLD!!!

It is nice how we seem to agree on things in this game, usually it ain't this way...
You develop an array of Stylets, and use the sharpened part to penetrate the surface of the leaf. This new implement allows you to quickly feed upon the plant. You pierce the cells, and then lap up the fluids that spill from the wounded cells. The energy rich fluid allows you to quickly gain a decent amount of energy, and biomass, bringing you up to full strength in a short manner, and allowing you to gain a great bit of size.
The increased size, allows for increased capabilities, and it appears that previously inactive systems are now slowly started to work again.
Following your changes, you once again survey your surroundings. Without sensory apparatus, you're still mostly blind, relying on basic chemical senses and vibrations. These tell you now that the plant you're sitting on is giving on some chemical signal, purpose unknown.
Name:
Energy: 21/21
Biomass: 0.010 cm
3Abilities : DNA assimilation
Current look: A blob of cells, vaguely resembling a creature with a bunch of legs and a stylet for a mouth
Generic
Photosynthesis: Free energy. With drawbacks, of course. Water and nutrients need to be provided.
Cell walls: Reinforces cells at cost to mobility
0.001 cm3 class
Tardigrade
Stylet : A primitive hardened mouthpart, used to pierce plant cells and consume their insides
Cryptobiosis : The Tardigrades fascinating survival strategy, where in it dehydrates and slows it's metabolism to a crawl, surviving for decades until conditions improve
Primitive exoskeleton : A more flexible, but far less hard and durable exoskeleton
Tiny legs : Tardigrade are jot renowned for speed, but these are functional
Eutelic : All tardigrades of the same species have the same number of cells, determined by a system in their DNA. These limits can be troubling to override.
Lichen
Photosynthesis: Free energy. With drawbacks, of course. Water and nutrients need to be provided.
Split : Allows to split the main organism, creating separate organisms
Despecialization : Generally, the procedure of dealing with parts no longer considered necessary are to kill them, and reabsorb the nutrients. Despecialization reverts them to a more primitive form, allowing them to be reused.
Epigenetics : Epigenetic tags control the activation and deactivation of genes based on environmental cues. In the most basic level, this allows for epigenetic systems to be preprogrammed into the basic structure of the Creature, and allowing rapid change when needed.
DNA Manipulation : The Manipulation of DNA fragments, allowing parts to be manipulated in primitive manners, usually meaning making them bigger or smaller
Energy efficiency : Obvious
DNA gathering efficiency : Obvious
