Only at the point where lives were being threatened, like a kind of overseer. Less people = less booties to shake to that funky stuff = less shindigs to be had.
Maybe people will try to kill each other anyways, but at least he'll try to dissuade them with the power of funk.

Well, I never really got to run them the way I wanted to. Which is to say as a sociopath who just walks around shooting people in the face as told, no questions asked and using magic to make everyone think it was caused by autoeroticincineration.

Backstory:
Born the son of a peasant during the later years of the Warring States Period, Matsumoto became a mercenary of sorts like many of the time, seeking to improve his fortunes in the midst of a centuries long civil war. He rose through the ranks until one day, he found himself somewhere else completely. The ruins of another world, long devoured by an eldritch being, and gathered with many others from differing eras by another such entity, for the purpose of terminating its influence. It is here that he has spent most of his life, fighting a far different war from the one he had been expecting. That is, until as fate would have it, he found himself again in an unfamiliar place and time.

Appearance:
Simple monochromatic clothing, lacking any particular designs. A black waistcoat over a white blouse, matching the shoes, and the trousers upon which a sheathed rapier has been clipped. Of course, there is a certain implication with it, not really the professional aesthetic, but rather the mere fact that each thread can be clearly seen with fine enough examination. Their wearer has soft pink hair, faintly self-luminous in the same manner as a fiber optic cable and cut relatively short, its hue slightly shifting over time. Her eyes are a lively color, that of a clear sky, which seems to sparkle when she gets excited. Lazily orbiting her are ghostly 3-spheres that each emit a dim blue glow.

Backstory:
A regular of Arcadia Paradise, she apparently works in the special effects industry, having previously worked in sales in her own world. She might actually have another job in a managerial position as well, though she never really mentions it. From her phone calls, one would know that her friends include Brooklyn, a singer-songwriter, Marzi, who used to be deathly ill, and Angel, who apparently tends to start fires. If one were to listen closely, it may be discerned that her friends call her Sakura.

Abilities:
Illusion Magic: That is, after all, her specialty.
Black Magic Powered by Illusion Magic: I blame the placebo effect.
White Magic Powered by Illusion Magic: I still blame the placebo effect.
Physical World Affecting Cyberwarfare Powered by Illusion Magic: Not any more of a stretch than her having a corporeal form.
Sales Skills: It's in the (former) job description.
Flight: Because of course.
High Accuracy: Was apparently able to blow missiles out of the air using a laser cannon.
Having Cacti: A cactus to the face keeps the Verflucht away.
