Well then let's start the training don't worry it won't be doing anything I don't tell it to do well at least for now....it seems to generally listen to me.

Presuming that Felicia and Lacie come along, Cynthia heads out of town and searches for wild Pokemon.

You, Felicia, and Lacie exit the town after a lot of warning from an old man at the gates, and search for Pokemon. You are not disappointed, as 5 seconds later, you are fighting a Level 2 Pidgey.

Battle, START!

Pidgey swoops up into the air, preparing for it's next attack. ((You command your Pokemon to do something, and then I'll do the same. Also, choose who's fighting it, or if you're teaming up on it.))

"Well, between us we have three pokemon. That's a hell of a good start but having more couldn't hurt. Especially not in this place." She gestures to the damaged walls surrounding the little town. "If we could each get one additional pokemon from the surrounding area, we can concentrate on raising just those until we're more confident. We should also try to make for the next town - I believe they might have a Pokemon Center there."

Cynthia checks her Pokedex to see how far away the next town is, and whether they have services there.

The nearest town is a short walk, just through the next route. Their services are limited, but they do have some essentials.

The other team go to the local Training Center (yes that's a thing) and prepare to fight each other.

((Oh yeah, sorry, just didn't see it, as most of the actions were in one area.))

You exit the town, prepared for your lone journey, just you and your Pokemon. You search for a wild Pokemon battle, and are quickly attacked by a Zigzagoon.

Battle, START!

Zigzagoon dashes straight at Charmander, claws out and ready to strike.

"Turtwig, tackle it."

You command your Turtwig to tackle the Pidgey, and it attempts. [11vs20, Turtwig loses]

The pidgey quickly manoeuvres out of the way however, and dives in for an Aerial Ace. As Turtwig is still prone on the ground after the tackle, it is a guaranteed hit. It does 9 damage! ((This reminds me, I'll add in the HP and Status Effects during combat, but otherwise they won't be present. The stats will also be present during level-ups and encounter scenarios, but not otherwise.))

Turtwig: 91/100 HP

Pidgey: 50/50 HP

Lacie stepped forwards as she spotted the bird pokemon, with a smile on her face she sent forth her Litwick to help her companion in the fight.
"Burn it, Litwick"

Frillish successfully uses Water-sport.... weakening Fire-type moves.

Celebi floats around, and using a weak telekinetic power, attacks Frillish. [13vs18, Frillish loses]
Frillish takes 8 damage!

Lacie stepped forwards as she spotted the bird pokemon, with a smile on her face she sent forth her Litwick to help her companion in the fight.
"Burn it, Litwick"

You command your Litwick to use Ember, and it creates a particularly large ball of flame, before sending it at the pidgey. The pidgey is too focused on Turtwig right now to dodge, so you blast it out of the sky.

Critical hit! Pidgey takes 24 damage! Pidgey is now burnt!

Stats:
Litwick: 100/100 HP
Pidgey: 26/50 HP !BURN!
