Yeeeaaaachoo! Sniff.

"What happened last night?" she asks. You shrug.

"I got drunk," she realizes, "I missed my chance..." You shrug again.

She takes off running down further into the fort and you follow her.
She chases down several flights of stairs until you find her by giant honeycombs.

"It's too late, they can't live here anymore."

"I've failed them."

A faint hum blossoms into a roar as many miniature wings beat as one.
The congregation of bees surrounds you at a rate that most would be terrified of.
To you, the buzz drowns out your thinking. They are annoying.

Rithlut looks up at them as the thousands of bees begin dancing in unison, wiggling and rotating above her.

"You're... You're going to be okay on your own?"

"If you're all going to split into your own colonies,
then you won't really need me to be your queen anymore, will you?"

"The new queens live."

You stand to the side, far away from the bees and this strange event.

The bees collect around Rithlut as she wishes them goodbye.

They begin flying out of the cave, towards the surface, as the dwarves carry away the honeycomb.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Why do I have the odd feeling that I was right about >some< parts in my story? 8)
Or, if nothing like this was planned, you still might end up taken ideas from this, hehe. Personally, I'd like the Idea of Necromancer Rith funny. Doesn't need to be a Lich, it's more than enough that a god would give her a slab with some secret !FUN! :3 But that's just my opinion.

Kirun: Stop being stupid, go to Rithlut and hug her. The Bees ain't going to attack you, they only like flowers, no shrooms! You also reproduce without bees/insects, so that's a plus too, you won't have random children if a bee lands on you :P

Rithlut: Man Bee up! Your former minions friends will find fields full with delicious flowers, fruit trees and, most importantly, places devoid of dwarves/humanoids. They'll be happy there. Definitely happier than in this god forsaken Fortress. You should be happy about this turn of event. If necessary, grab Kirun and cry on his shoulder, then become his travel partner. You can always help random bees in your travels, and Kirun certainly needs some help.
Or throw a tantrum and annoy some of the honey-stealing dwarves. That could be fun.

Realize this is all a dream, as the laws of the universe state that hives can't work underground

Realizing the bees seem okay with their current situation, give up on rousing the bees to join you into a rebellion.
Ask a Dwarf Beekeeper if he happens to know where are the plump helmet farming plot, and should they ask why, answer "I'm on an important mission" with sign language.

Ask where you could find some abandoned weapons and armour that might fit the two of you, and try to get more plump helmet men on your side.
This is a long term thing though.

So....basically every time he gets hurt he automatically becomes enraged...apparently at everything too.
That's going to be a loooong day.

Check the bucket, what's inside? Since youre a shroom, water might help your healing process dramatically..if youre still hurt that is.
Afterwards, try to sneak to the Guard and search for keys. I sure hope the chanis are long enough to reach him.

Yes, maybe you could reach his keys. Then you could escape your bonds!

These chains seem pretty long. You could probably make it.

Here goes nothing.

Clatter...

Damn it.

Excellent, now with your supermushroomly strength you can suplex the guard to make sure he won't wake up. Then get those keys and yakkety sax out of there.

Mushroom man suplexes a guard, just because he can.

+1
If you can find a instrument stockpile on the way, grab a saxophone, or something similar, in order to make more Yakkety Sax.
