New option added! The 'technology' option.

The year is 1999, the Cold War has been over for more then a decade and for the first time in nearly half a century, the world is free from the spectre of nuclear apocalypse. But none of that shit is important! What's happening all over the world is far more important than video games, even a timeless classic like Rainbow Six (RIP Tom Clancy <3). The year is actually 2020, and since the new millennium, strange things have been happening. They began as very rare occurances. Weird, indescribable sounds heard for miles, yet with no source in sight. People who transform into powerful warriors, some with additional abilities. Some more...out-there people claim they saw mutant humanoids. Some kind of talking animals or something. Otherworldly creatures with amazing powers. Time-travelling soldiers and so much more!

No one knew this then, obviously. And not too many people know it now, either. Its been called many things by many people. The apocalypse, the end-times, Left Behind IRL, but they're all horribly wrong! This event is called Convergence, the result of many planes of existence converging, or coming together to meet at a central point. This point holds reality together, and with all of these planes it keeps in check putting weight on it, things are getting trippy. Not going to shit yet. Not all at once, anyway. Make no mistake; all living things are going to feel it and will somehow experience the cosmos shaking it up to correct itself. It is unknown what caused Convergence, or what will fix it. Those that can? They don't even know if they can, or, if they even want to. It's a struggle just to survive.

Spoiler: Reader's Digest (click to show/hide)

You are ASHLEY BREAD, a teenage FEMALE living in the vast and vibrant city of VERDANT. Your life was normal up until your junior year at Verde Collegiate Charter Academy. That's when you became involved in the Convergence plot.

Spoiler: Character Profile (click to show/hide)

Your MONSTER. Describe it. It's still a baby, so keep that in mind when you write in an answer. Also, give Ashley a PERSONALITY, or if you want you may abstain and leave it in the capable hands of the GM! Once these are done, you have the option to get ...

> more information on Convergence relative to you.
> more information on Verdant City.
> more information on Verde Collegiate.
> clarification about the SG and/or anything relating to it since I can get ahead of myself and confuse people.
> ready for school, saving the info dumps until some other time.

Your MONSTER. Describe it.
A small white avian whose round torso is about the size of our fist. Its legs and talons are unusually long. Unlike most birds, this monster is cycloptic.
Also, give Ashley a PERSONALITY
Abstention.

I feel fine charging in, but others may beg to differ.

So, looks like personality is up to me. Monster has two types, with the white bird design leading by one. Will update later or tomorrow.

I gave her one?
The "+1 personality" bit confused me. Especially because you quoted the previous player who chose to abstain and let me decide. Er, also, not entirely sure I can pull that off. This is one of my first SGs, after all. The closet I can recall from memory is a character I have named Kristen. She's basically Asuka from NGE, but without the...dark stuff. A bit more "grounded", if that makes sense. So, I s'pose I'll play her like Kristen, assuming you win the vote (since both abstention/host's choice and yours are at no votes beyond their initial postings).

Note: I should've made this clear in the initial post (though I thought it was assumed, because reasons), but the monster does unlock more powerful forms. Once unlocked, the monster may transform into a more powerful form, but they will revert back to this basic/baby form once they lose control of the power. Practice and experience will result in longer morph times. Doing the Digimon thing, except not as OP.
