Oh, no need to apologize. I'll mess around with the colors and see what I can do. Currently, units are colored based on their nation affiliations.

Any take to care bets on the winner? England is probably out, France's move were weird, but with England and Germany acting as they did it's actually in a decent position. I think my money is on Turkey, if Italy doesn't manage a good backstab.

It's a bit tricky extrapolating that far.  That said, for strong positions in only a vague order:

1. Italy - A commanding position for any of several Lepanto variants, as well as a 1902 pivot west via Tunis.  The next two turns will be key to seeing if they adopt a policy of aggression against Austria, Turkey, or France.
2. Austria - A good position between Italy and Turkey combined with a scattershot Russia has left them the only power with a shot at 2 SCs this first year. A strong diplomatic game will be key to maintaining their advantages, however.
3. Turkey - A strong anti-Russian position combined with A Gal suggests an Austrian alliance, or at least a convenient partnership, but that's far from a guarantee.  They have an outside shot at two SCs, but that is only in the case of grievous errors by their enemies.
4. Germany - While an early stale would hurt most powers, Germany is one of the few that can guarantee at least one SC (Hol or Den) in a single move and is thus less affected by a Turn 1 stale.  Russia pushing west does not bode well (unless one takes their protestations of innocence at face value), but an early stale conveniently avoids threatening anyone - it's harder to blame them for failing to bounce Russia in Sweden or France in Belgium when they can no longer reach those SCs.  France's superior position may be the seed for a strong negotiating position by drumming up fear while France's broad move north has blocked them from securing more than one SC this turn, or by assisting France secure their western front while driving into Scandinavia and/or Russia in retaliation.
5. France - Seem to be strongly focused on Belgium, with a very real possibility that they're planning a move on the Home Isles.  They went for the guaranteed Belgium ploy by surrendering Iberia (likely counting on a 1902 pick-up if they made a deal with Italy) and threatening England. They look more threatening than they actually are, which is problematic because it makes building a hostile alliance a bit easier. That said, this can easily shift depending on if they partner with one of their potential foes.
6. Russia - Scattered and potentially vulnerable both strategically and diplomatically.  A lucky fluke (German stale) has been the only thing that guaranteed them one SC, but their declared intent for Norway should concern England, pulling a Tannenberg threatens Germany with no way to actually advance, and they're facing a potential Austrian-Turkish alliance.  In other words, they've potentially alienated every single neighbor they have.
7. England - Stuck on the Home Isles and unable to support London, they're likely quietly thanking Hasbro that London isn't at risk of a Fall supported attack. What effectively amounts to a Turn 1 stale is going to cripple their early game, and it will take skillful playing and flying under the radar as a threat to pull them out of it.
