Heh... 3D...

I'd do some 3D stuff as well, but I'm trying to get to Proficient Photoshopper first...

I'm thinking of doing the Basalt armor stand.

Fast? You mean having made it since that last post?
It just took an hour or two.

It could be better, I admit. Most of it is really just experimenting.

It's a start, keep going. You'll get better. Unless you happen to get taken by a Fey Mood and craft something Legendary and become Louis Royo overnight. :)

My apologies to Makrond, but I also did the Hematite Crown.  (I started before I noticed it was put up.) Also apologies to Moogie, but I liked your little yellow money symbol.

Nice!

Not exactly recursive, but... earlier in my fortress one of my children came up with this:

Logemkobuk, "Paintlances", a Highwood crown.
Weight: 5   Basic Value: 21600

This is a Highwood crown.  All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality.  It is encrusted with hematite.  This object is adorned with hanging rings of cave spider silk and menaces with spikes of Highwood, elk leather and Kaolinite.  On the item is an image of a blazing sun in cave spider silk.  On the item is an image of dwarves in turtle bone.  The dwarves are travelling.

"So what?"  Well, it looks like it captured the interest of one of my weavers, who later had a fey mood and came up with this:

Nim Otik, "The God of Sheens", a cave spider silk coat.
Weight: 67    Basic Value: 79400

This is a cave spider silk coat.  All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality.  It is encrusted with Alamandine, studded with Steel, decorated with cave spider silk and encircled with bands of cave spider silk, donkey leather and Chalk.  It is made from cave spider silk cloth.  The thread is emerald, finely coloured with Emerald dye.  This object menaces with spikes of cave spider silk, Copper and turtle shell.
On the item is an image of a Highwood crown in Highwood.

Now I can have my Baron looking truly spiffy as he pulls the Lever of Immortality during his Ascension Ceremony.   ;D

That sounds awesome, Eater. Me, if I were drawing them, I'd (a) draw them as a set, and (b) draw the image of the highwood crown (in highwood) around the jacket's shoulders.

Also, "Lever of Ascension?" Is that the one connected to the pillar that drops the roof out of the room it's in? Or is that the one on the drawbridge that flings the person ascending into the lava pit?

My apologies to Makrond, but I also did the Hematite Crown.

Hey, don't apologise. It's nice to see multiple takes of the same object - besides which, I had no idea what the hell 'decorated with tower-cap' would even mean; your visualisation is much nicer.

It's a start, keep going. You'll get better. Unless you happen to get taken by a Fey Mood and craft something Legendary and become Louis Royo overnight. :)

That would be oddly nice... but with my luck I'd get possessed and never be able to do it again.
