I'm guessing that when the campers went missing, they pulled out the map and used it to organize their search parties or something. It has one big problem though. You said that your friends' magic didn't work properly, right? I'm guessing that the search teams found that out too when they were re-mapping the forest. So they either gave up or made a new map which I can't find. But we're not going far into the forest, so what I have here should work. Unless it's changed since then."
