You may want to practice somewhere that isn't mostly about characters and characterization.

If I had to give you some advice (I was where you are currently once, as were ALL of us for that matter), it would be a couple of things. A: It would be a good idea to put some more length and detail into his backstory to try to reveal some of his personality; it can be difficult but it really does help later down the line and B: Putting a laundry list of tragic things in a backstory isn't actually going to necessarily improve the character. It can seem weird and overdone pretty easily, and while tragic backstories are by no means automatically awful, characters with less dark backstories can be just as or more deep and multifaceted.

It's probably for the best. In a game like like this bad writing and grammar is a big turnoff, so you won't get many people who'd want to interact with your character. Sorry about that.
