My pastured animals keep getting distracted. How do I stop this?

Is it really a problem?

Distracted means that they aren't getting their needs fulfilled. If the pasture is far fro mtravelled areas, it is possible they are getting lonely for Dwarf contact.

It's not a bug.

'Distracted' is part of the new needs system; it means that a need has been unmet for a long time and the individual is operating at far below peak efficiency because of it. Animals have needs too, though they're simpler than peoples' needs.

Usually the cause of them becoming distracted is lack of humanoid contact.
