Heh.
Yeah.
Where are you, anyway?
North Carolina. Where forecasts of an inch of snow leads to mass runs on milk and bread.

A foot of snow would probably lead to pre-emptive cannibalism.

Looking at the forecast, it ought to start snowing around midnight. Still no idea on how much is getting dropped.

About half a foot deep and showing no signs of stopping. Looking at TWC's Weather in Motion® shows the band where all this snow will turn into heavy rain, in a very slow moving band. And by the time it reaches me, it'll be nighttime enough for it to be snow again.

Here it has just been raining- still terrible though, as I left my clothes out on the line overnight. :'(
I should have taken them off when I checked yesterday evening, even if they were slightly damp.

As a contrast to how nice it was... wait, I guess Melbourne weather is always a bit crazy.
Whatever, this morning is rather cold, windy and unpleasant. I left the house to go get some breakfast from the supermarket, then decided to turn back and re-equip before I'd even made it off my street (which ends about 50 metres from my front door).
Amusingly enough this is after I took off a jumper and replaced it with just a singlet and t-shirt, thinking the jumper would possibly be too warm (this was before I'd checked what it was like last night). Now I'm back and have put on another longsleeve shirt, a different one that I'd kinda forgotten I had.

...Oh, and all this is under a jacket. Um.
I was gonna say something else I think but I'm tired and hungry so I'm gonna go get breakfast 'cause I don't remember what it was.

Was about to go outside to finish un-digging a hole, but decided against it since it is raining fairly heavily here.
I can't hear it from the room I'm staying in. From what I'm told it rains quite a lot here- this is on a mountain in Northern NSW.
Quite nice to look at, I suppose. Not exactly my preferred hole diggin/un-digging weather, though. I guess I'll take my work pants off, chuck on my tracksuit pants (or sweatpants, for you foreigners) and go back to lazing about instead.

Solution*: Leave the hole unundug.  When it's not raining, swim in it (or, at worst, use it as a mud wallow).

*Subject to your local geology and pedology, the current size and shape of the hole, the presence of electrical cables within or in the vicinity of the hole and also the possibilities of certain types of wildlife taking up habitation already (see also edaphology), which - for someone in Australia -  might well be the clincher...

It's sporadically hailing right now. Sometimes a big gust of wind maybe ~15-20 mph comes down with loads of pebble sized hail. During the lulls, it gets sunny, the hail melts, and there's a brief sprinkling of snow or rain.

EDIT: There was a snow storm for 10 minutes and by the time I was done washing the dishes, it was sunny and the snow was almost all gone. This is some weird weather.
I guess a low pressure system is passing by really quickly or something.

It is a really nice night here tonight. It's been cold and unpleasant lately but tonight it is just slightly cool, calm winds and fresh night air. Last night want too bad either from what I remember, but I was indoors for most of it. Or drink.

Nice night for a walk. :)

For the last few months, winter's been taunting us with glimpses of spring - THEN DUMPING A FEW INCHES OF SNOW ON US, WITH GALES AND BELOW ZERO TEMPS. To hell with winter, it's not even giving me snow that I can sled in, just dirty clumps.

(pun not intended)

(hell with winter: hell freezing over get it?)
