"I.. I understand.. you three would be unhappy with me, in this small part of the caves..."
"My fear, my isolation, my guilt.. for you, my children, I will leave them aside."

~Fallen Down (Reprise)~

She squeezed tightly, embracing them for perhaps one more time. She then stood, walking to the door and hesitantly opened it.
"I think.. that you're determined enough to make it out there. And you'll like the people in Cavefall, they're nice people... M-my number is 1015-1912, call me when you get a chance...!"

The journey so far has been full of nothing but tears for Sophia. She tearfully said her apologies and goodbyes, as she proceeded to continue her journey in order to find a way out of Mt. Damon.

Keeping mind of the credo the dreaded flower once spoke to them, she becomes mindful to protect the group from harm.

"D-Don't worry...! We'll call back! We promise!"

Managing to express a smile, she waves back for a small while before proceeding into the undiscovered distances of the pathway ahead.

Sadness, fear, and isolation...  These had been the hallmarks of their journey thus far.  Alvin would try to put them aside, and look to a new beginning, as they began the next chapter of their adventure.  He smiled and waved farewell as he followed Sophia forward.

"We'll remember you, Laykos!  Thank you for all you've done for us!"

She waved, and then her face fell.

Alvin's face was oddly stern for a 10 year old as he looked back one last time.  "I swear to you, whoever he is, whatever he does, we won't let that happen."

Lazarus nods and gives Foxmom a squeeze before leaving.
"I will keep them safe."
There's something about the way he said that which would give one pause. Unless they weren't listening hard of course. He did kind of mumble it.

~Ooo~
They left through the door, into a long and dark cavern. Laykos waved at them with a dismal smile as they continued onward, towards a faint light in the distance... Slowly as the treaded through, blue mushrooms began to glow on the walls as wind blew through. Then utter silence as they felt someone's presence.
((Now we wait for SB to come online.))

"Y-You see, Miss Laykos, humans have always been... what's the word for it...? Smart? Crafty? We... we find an obstacle, then we work to find a way..."

(I believe the word is stubborn.

Anyway, posting to watch.)

((You mean i am trying to avoid that specific word because 12 year olds tend not to be so verbose... And I realized I used many complex words before. Fuck.))

((I'm having the same problem, I think, to a lesser degree.  This is where being one of those "excellent" roleplayers would come in handy for me, probably.  Oh well.))
