I'd PTW on this to see what the rest of B12 is up to, and then realize I'm probably one of the dozen or so people in my country still alive.

We should compile a listing of the areas available and potential problems that would arise in each with a mass depopulation, as well as the currently natural events.  Only put in a couple basic ones based off of my knowledge, so add to it and modify.

North America
Canada: Very cold for those in locations such as California
West Coast: Earthquakes, the current Drought.
Midwest: Great plains could potentially turn into a dust bowl.  Groundwater being at low levels.
East Coast: Prevailing winds could cause problems in the western regions to affect the area.
South-East: Hurricanes.
Carribean: Difficulty in getting to location.  Hurricanes.

Europe
Chernobyl Sarcophagus eventually collapsing, as well as other Nuclear Reactors melting down.

Well for the East coast, it is mostly southern areas, like Florida. DC however, is more of a 4 season climate than Florida.

I feel like east coast would be good. West coast has too many earthquakes. Also, the drought is a problem.

By now, I estimate that I would be around 0.3% done with drilling through the foundations of the shard to create a new bridge over the Thames.

Why? There is no draught in the east, it's in the west.

I would most likely (b)uild a (f)arm in my backyard and (d)ecide to (g)ather some plants.

In RL? I'd probably check the internet eventually, and bay12's the most likely choice, after google news. Just because I spend like 80% of my time here.

I'd see recent activity, wonder how on earth, and then see this thread.

I'd likely steal from a store or two to get food, then begin driving the car to DC. Although I'd love to be back home in California, DC's closer.
