We hit year ten, guys. not a whole lot happened in year nine. It was nice.
According to Toady's Law, everything is going to go to hell in year 10.

We have food, booze, knowledge, military, and overly large architecture.

I hereby defy fate: What could go wrong?

You have doomed us all.

...no, Erin, that is not the solution. Anything involving puns is never the solution.

How about a tower going to the sky, with a drop shaft to the bowels of the earth where all our treasure is.  I can guarantee that no one will be able to steal it so long as no one puts in any cushioning or safe way down.

Hmm. Well we need to be able to get to it, and flying things could get down there and filch.

I could make the main defense some kind of horrific drop, with security activated by some kind of lever or one-time use pressure plate.

In all seriousness, lets not let this get derailed. Anyway, what should our enormous vault be like? Any suggestion is a good suggestion.

Made entirely out of paper. Preferably magic paper. Also, fill it with http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/KillerRabbits. Maybe even get http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheCatfish. Perhaps you could hire a few http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FriendlySnipers (And, if given the option, please find http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/UsefulNotes/SimoHayha.) If you could find http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/UsefulNotes/NikolaTesla, that would be a recipe for greatness.

Or, y'know, you could just rocket the entire vault to that http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LandDownUnder, maybe even pick up some of that shiny Australium while you're there.

Sincerely, your http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FriendlyEnemy and resident http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MadScientist,

While I would at any other time enjoy a forum war, I do not want us to get derailed while everything is going so well.

I got guard bowmen and guard animals from that. Any other suggestions?

Get some http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EliteMooks (In other words, Onyx, on his free time). Maybe some other guards. But please: if http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheGuardsMustBeCrazy, at least make it the http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VideoGame/TeamFortress2 kind of crazy (that is, a good ol' http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PsychoForHire).
And of course, since http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OurElvesAreBetter, a couple of them may not hurt.

Go ahead. I'm http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheHeretic, just shoot me. But http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YouWouldntShootMe, because I'm http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ActuallyPrettyFunny.

...
Okay, I'm done with the TV Tropes now.

Trap Pakabol the archer captain within the vault, where he will go mad from isolation and fire upon anyone that enters.

The perfect security system.

You could store the treasure in a giant vault, held in the sky by a thin tower. Should anybody breach the defenses and begin to climb, a distant lever drops the entire thing into the Circus.

Also am I alive still?

I forgot to mention: fill the entire place with all the traps.

I'd been going to suggest sending in the most insane members of the fort, but that's probably Onyx (who'll be there anyway) and myself (and I'd rather be above ground).

Great Cacame...

Circus yes.
This must happen, and the next time goblins show up, you must stick them in cage traps and put them behind whatever desks you put in the place.
