Done, and done. Time to start things up!!

I can already confirm that goblins are active on this world. The elves have already been attacked, despite the goblins having only 120ish population.

BLAZECOOKS III has been founded by the Group of Dragons!!!

Some of the family names you guys got are rad as hell. I plan to make sure that any children also contain that surname as a matter of record-keeping. We have embarked in a warm valley between three hills. There is a small river and trees. Our closest neighbors are an elven civilization, but the goblins are only a few tiles past that.

Some of you have multi-skilled by necessity. For instance, our Miner is also an architect, and our animal trainer is also a minor in farming. Since there were no takers for the last of the starting 7, my wife grabbed it up and named our carpenter Eva (The irony of her first thought is not lost upon me). Since LordBrassRoast's militia commander has low agility, we gave them some proficiency in armor use and shield use with only novice in dodge. Getting everything set up proper and finding a site combined with updating the thread took up most of today's hour.  :o

It wasn't even summer before the Kobolds showed up. I hope we get this level of goblin activity later.

We got some really neat names randomly generated for our starting 7. Some homes and a granary have been built near a Trade Depot.

Militia Commander LordBrassRoasts has a small barracks set up in their cabin. Training will begin posthaste.

As of right now, you are using a sword. A training sword. We just got a smith as a migrant, soon we will get you outfitted with real gear.

Also, Sanctume has been promoted to Broker. He happened to be the random villager to handle the trading, and went straight up to competent appraiser.

In other news, Daparrot has become enraged at all enemies. There are no enemies. There has been no combat. He is, regardless, quite angry about it.

Also, construction has begun on housing for migrants. They have smaller hovels as opposed to cabins by logic of space. A palisade was also constructed around the village.

Queen Amperzand is a merciless taskmaster. Back-to-back demands for MORE FIGURINES have been made.

UPDATE 12/11/15
Nothing much happened. Construction continues on various projects. I did find that we have an embark-wide aquifer. HOWEVER, a very small part of the map freezes. Queen Amperzand got about halfway through before it thawed. She wigged out so much she climbed out of the hole and up a tree.

Music and Singing was first witnessed in BLAZECOOK!!! It looks like some form of musical storytelling horrific primordial chanting. And by "some form" I mean "Absurdly Complicated". Also, we have an "Ithros" which seems like a 12-pipe pan-flute by description.

Oh hey, the Mead Hall portion of the Mead Hall was completed. They named it "The Rhyming Lemon".

The amount of news the Liason just brought is pages long. The gist of it is that there is a goblin warband that just sacked Relievedwhiskers, another settlement in our civilization. The leaders of this band are as follows:

LordBrassRoast is going to start training a militia. I'm sure they'd be headed here eventually.

Last thing: Mead Hall is complete. It contains a 2z-tall common area overlooked by a throne on a raised dais, a cellar for storage, 4 rentable rooms for travelers, and an upper story with vaulted ceilings containing the Queen's Bedroom, Dining Hall, and Personal Armory. Pictures to come.
