"I can assure you that none of this is alternate history for me. It's all quite real," Alice replies with a pointed expression. "It's quite simple. A Caster is someone who can manipulate the Supernatural and perform magic without outside assistance. A Channeler requires the use of a familar to achieve the same effect, though by my understanding the process is entirely different. A Channeler channels their power from their familar's dimension while a Caster brings it out from the Supernatural around them. Given that I can't see any familars with you I assumed that you were a Caster, though it is entirely possible for your familar to be invisible to the naked eye. My apologies if that is the case."
